  1. I hate to say because I support Klipsch and this is really the only place in town that has inventory on display. Even if it is a poor display. If buyers avoid this place there will be ZERO exposure to Klipsch products in our city.
  2. Today I visited one of those All in One audio/video/appliance/computer retailers to check out an IGROOVE for my wife for christmas. I was shocked to begin with that Klipsch would allow it's quality products to even be sold in one of these places. After searching the store to find the IPOD solution isle I couldn't even find anything that said KLIPSCH on it. I found plenty of items that had that four letter word B*S* on it and the JBL sales reps were doing a real fine job of moving everything to the side so they could make sure their brand was front and center. I eventually found a sales person that worked, and I use that term loosely, at the store to find out if they had the IGROOVE. He acted as if he was a true specialist with the IPOD products. He had trouble finding the KLIPSCH brand and once he did he couldn't tell me the names of them and only one of them had the price on it. I new it was a long shot but I asked him if I could listen to the product, after a long pause and an "UUHM I don't even own an IPOD dude" I politely thanked him for nothing and found the exit. I know the quality of a Klipsch speaker and feel the brand is not being well represented in this type of retailer. Sorry for the rant but I hate to see a good brand have it's reputation ruined by poor representation in places like this.
  3. Thanks for article, that explains alot. At this time I have my surrounds set to small, my front L&R set to large and the sub is not set to LFE + MAIN. Also I think the sub phase is set to 180 at the sub with my Denon crossover point set to 80hz. I will try some of these configurations to see how it changes the sound. Again thanks for the help
  4. I recently purchased an RT10d. This is my first sub and need some help adjusting the sound. So far watching movies the sub performs great but when it comes to music I'm getting the low bass guitar sounds but not alot of kick from the bass drum. I'm not sure what info will be needed to possibly help so please fire away with any questions you might have. I'm running this thru a Denon AVR 2805 receiver. Thanks!!!
  5. I did open the sub and one of the surrounds just to get the dimensions but they went back into the boxes. I have a couple more months of work to do on my BAR/HT room before I'm ready for them. It sucks but I didn't want to set everything up and calibrate it then turn around and move it all downstairs. This is motivation to get everything done and it gives me a little more time with my 15 year old NAD and Infinity 2 channel setup.
  6. Thanks for all the reply's. Since my HT/BAR is not completed I decided to leave everything in the boxes for a couple more months until I'm actually ready to hook it all up. As for using a cold beer to check the condensation........................that doesn't work. When the beer is taken out of the bottle the bottle no longer sweats. But I can tell you it makes me have to take a break to use the rest room.
  7. I just picked up my RF-62 system from my dealer, one thing he told me to do is put the speakers in the room I will be using them in and leaving them there, in the boxes sealed for 24 hours. Doing this will let the speakers adjust to the temp and humidity level of the room. I understand that I should not take them from the outdoors, which hear in Indiana happens to be cold, and hook them up and play them. But to leave them sealed in the boxes for 24 hours before unpacking and view these works of art? Is this necessary? Thanks!
