Hello, I'm looking for a new amp for my Rf-63's. Here are my concerns. Onkyo - Retail $2400 - Sale for $999 independent power supply 145Watts 55pounds Pioneer - Retail $2000 - Sale $1299 180Watts but only 40pounds I like the onkyo because of the good price and it is very heavy and is big, it has independent power supply. But with 145watts i know it is a lot but rf-63's need 175watts. THe pioneer has more wattage but is only 40pounds. and cost more by $300. I dont care much about their features because its all pretty loaded. except that the onkyo has THX. All i care about is the sound quality and which one will be best for my rf-63's as i am planning on getting another set of 63's. I did a search on google on the pioneer but nothing on them. Since they came out i have been interested on them because of 180watts. Which on do you guys think is the better amp? Also i could get the new model of the onkyo for $1299 as well but i like the 906better. thanks for all your help.

hello, Is this too much watts into my 63's? I moved my home theatre into the bedroom now and will use the 63's for music in my family room, I can get a used pro power amps -QSC PLX2 1804, 600 watts/ch RMS into 8ohms -Crown Com-Tech 800, 315 watts/ch RMS into 8 ohms the 63's is rated at 175watts rms. Right now its being driven by 100watts cheap yamaha probably only 50 real watts. Will i notice a sound difference? is this dangerous? and can i still use my yamaha as a pre amp? it doesn't have L/R speaker output. I will also be using it sometimes to watch movies 2channel only. I have tried watching movies in 2 channels and its not bad the only thing you lose is the surround sound which doesn't even go on all the time, like if you go to watch a movie in a theatre the surround sound doesn't even come on, you only notice or hear the sound in front 95% of the time.

Danz, now that you have tried both which one is louder? PB-13 OR the klipsch ultra? What if there is two PB-13 vs klipsch ultra? would the 2 PB-13 just push above the ultras?

Nope that is not his name I dont want to say his name maybe his a regular here on the forum but his seems like a nice guy. Actually he just sold a pair of velodyne dls5000 for $750! i wanted it so bad but someone beat me to it. Yea i think he has the black ones. I have cherry. Yes the rf-63's are very easy to sell. I wonder if I can use the rf-63's as surrounds? but would be a waste of good speakers to be used as surrounds imo. Maybe i can connect it on my old school stereo receiver that one has good bass compared to the new ones right now. I wish i lived in america everything is cheap there! hehee i'm looking around for an rc-64. i probably would want rf-82 as surrounds.

hi hmb, yea $1500 for centre channel is too much, if they were all the same price even $1100 online i'd buy them from london drugs but I see them as low as $550 online just doesnt make sense paying the $1500. Actually i know a guy who will sell me his rc-64 only if i buy his whole system. it is rc-64, rf-63, and rf-52's for $2100. Ii would rather pay that than pay $1500 for one rc-64.

I ordered a woofer replacement once from partsexpress it was like $40 for the woofer and i paid $50 in fees and taxes when it got here. I have always wanted to order online but i'm afraid that when it gets here i would have to pay double. Can you pls tell me how much you paid with taxes from canada government. thanks. oh i would get cherry one it would not look good if they were not matched. if you were going to sell it again as a package people would want it to match.

sorry for the late reply I've been busy at work... so the feedback sounds good. I had a to post here to make sure that this is not fake.. its craigslist after all i've been scammed once before. I have never heard of mark seaton before so i had to make sure... how do you guys think this sub compare to other klipsch and svs etc.. store baught subs? is this like just a better sub? it looks like a pro sub. the one you would put behind a screen in a dedicated home theater. I dont have one yet but this sub really looks good. its between this sub and a rc-64. thats all the extra $ i have for this christmass. if i get the 64 i have a complete system. i already have a velodyne sub, but this thing is a monster.

oh okay thanks montique, i will see if i can get the price lower. these should be good as a party speakers. i just love the size of the 63's.. but these looks bigger. are they the same size as rf-7's?

hi all, i currently have rcx-4 as a center and I will be getting the rc-64 by march. But I got a really good offer from craigslist on a rc-52's. would it be a big improvement over the rcx-4's? or should i just wait till march for the rc-64. if i get the rc-52's i can just sell both after i get the rc-64's. by the way the 63's just keep impressing me! wow! i turn this thing up and with only 80watts onkyo its loudly nice. i cant imagine when i get a separate amp. i listen all kinds of music from classical to pop to rock to hiphop, instrumental etc... also movies. WOW RF-63's are fire breathing monsters!

Ok thank! I am happy with my 63's now i'm glad i got them instead of the 82's the bass is there now i just had to play with it and try different cd's and movies. Also I think if i get a better amp or receiver that it would sound good. But i did try some bad cd's! i cant even crank up half volume it sounded so bad. Do you have any suggestions for dvd concert or cd's that i can show off my klipsch speakers when friends come over? i only have josh groban concert on blu-ray, it sounds good but is there a cd that with like drum beats? thanks.

hi all, i just got my rf-63 it is a wonderful machine. But i noticed that when the rubber or foam surround around the speakers are soft? are they suppose to be like this? do you guys know what i'm talking about? like on some speakers esp. the car subwoofers the surrounds foam or rubber are hard. but on the 63's its soft but yet its so loud and sounds nice.

Okay thanks bill, i will try that. I have Onkyo TX-SR507, your right it only has sub pre-out and surround pre-out.

thanks youthman and willland, Ok i get what you guys are saying, how will i be able to connect an external amp to my onkyo? i dont want to upgrade my receiver. If i get an external amp will it now have as much bass as the 82'S? Can you guys correct me but is this how its rated? RF-83 RF-63 RF-82 RF-62 thanks guys..

ok thanks youthman, yea i have them set to large and 80. i do have a sub 12inch velodyne. I was just hoping maybe wouldn't need a sub anymore for music. i'll play around with it first and see if i can improve the bass but everything else sounds good. I dont know why anyone would want to seperate amp for these they are so loud already even with just 75watts.

hi all, is there anyone out there that has rf-63's? .. i was going to get the f-3's or the rf-82's but i got a good deal with the 63's so i went with them. I listened to it last night and i thought there would be more bass i watched movies and music. The salesman told me the the 82's had more bass is this true? i hope i didn't make a bad choice. I dont want to upgrade anymore. so i got the rf63's and i will be getting rc-64 later on. to match at. Right now it is matched with rcx-4 center! hahahah. Maybe i just got to play with the settings more on my amp. or use a 2channel amp instead. i got onkyo receiver 75watts per channel. i'm so excited bout my speakers. I just need someone to tell me didn't make the bad choice by choosing the rf-63's over rf-82's. Also is the rf-10's available in canada at all? maybe i can tell my local klipsch dealer to order me one. I forgot to ask last night. Will the rf-10's have more bass than 63? thanks everyone! oh ya i had a hard time choosing from black to cherry. but i got cherry its so nice..
