  1. Uhhh, if you had a PayPal claim then you should be all set, he would have to proove he return shipped your item to win. Did you close the claim? and if yes, WHY!?!?! lol. Man, that sucks. But I am still confused, and FYI, Small Claims would be held in his home are, not yours, so I wouldn't get too crazy into that. But PayPal should be able to help you out.
  2. Well, for starters, is your system 5.1 or 7.1 sound card? Is it analog, Digital, or both? this may be a better question for the manufacturer of your computer rather than the speakers you are plugging in to it.
  3. I can send you a DIY repair cable for the control pod and get it to your door for $12 (USA Only).
  4. Absolutely, Great Stuff. Glad to hear it worked out well for you.
  5. more often than not it is the cable end with the male connecto, but you can certailny try a little fresh solder on the female end in the subwoofer. also, the new klipsch systems are in fact using the right angle plugs, so they have done something about the problem.
  6. Klipsch 2.1 DIN replacement options The 1st option which is the cheapest does require some good soldering skills, if you have (or know someone that does) good soldering skills then i cann sell you the plug you need and give you instructions on how to do it and that would only cost you $5.50 total. the 2nd options is the easiest and fastest solution which is my DIY Repair cable, with this cable all you do is cut the plug off your current din cable and then you strip each of the wires inside the cable and then you twist them together with my cable green to green red to red yellow to yellow etc. and tape them all off as you go, and bam, done! that option costs $12.00 total, the 3rd option is to send me your control pod and i will professionally replace the din plug for you and give a lifetime guarantee on the new plug and that option will cost you $17.00 total, each of these options are discounted from my usual Ebay price for savings to you and me. Plese let me know which way you would like to go and i can have a PayPal invoice sent to you or you can mail me a check or money order to make payment, please note that I do hold off on shipping items for checks to clear. the 4th option would be to buy a brand new control pod from me and i will ship it out right away with Priority mail shipping, You pay $40 up front for the pod then you send me your old pod and I give you a rebate of $13 when I receive your old control pod. So your cost is only $27 and you get a brand new pod in a few days and cheaper than if you ordered it from Klipsch, not to mention you get it a week faster. Thanks again. Adam
  7. I typically se them sell for around $200-$300 USD.
  8. Sure, you can run them on the receiver, but like any speaker, if you push them hard, they can overheat and fry out the coil. I use a regular ProMedia on my Yamaha receiver as a center channel and it works well, i was using 3 of them for a short period of time for all my fronts until my JBLs came in. but I did not have any problems running them on my receiver which i believe is 75-100 watts per channel. Not sure how you would go about hooking up the sub though.
  9. Yes, it is always drawing power when switched on, there is no power saver mode. another easy way would be to just buy a surge protector and hook the system up through that and then just switch off the surge protector when you want to shut it down. Or you can install a secondary switch to the front or side of sub if you wish, I will probably do that myself.
  10. Excellent, I can help you with both issues whenever you want.
  11. if the sub wokrs perfectly and is in good shape then i would have no problem paying $50 for one myself.
  12. no problem at all man, that is what we are here for. If you are looking just for replacement drivers then let me know, I sell them for $17 Each.
  13. Hook the driver itself up directly and see if it plays. (unhook it from the circuitry first, lol) but go ahead and touch the speaker wires directly to the terminals on the speaker drivers and see what happens, i they don't play then you know they are bad. in which case a very easy fix by replaceing the drivers.
  14. lol, yes, very much so, in fact the woofers get a decent amount of movement in them before distortion. It is strange though that it is happenening to both speakers. One i can easily understand, but both means you probably have a circuitry issue.
  15. It might just be that particular set of PM 2.1's, I have onwed a few sets of them and never had a problem with Tone Response, the frequency range on them is very wide and the built in crossovers do a great jobat sending the best frequencys to the correct drivers at the correct levels. now wit that being said, for the $150 brand new price tag for a set of self powered speakers, I don't think you will beat their abilites in that price range anywhere else.
  16. Lol, Well..... Yeah! I actually just ordered a nice 5.1 receiver and already have some JBL sats and a JBL subwoofer, now i just need to buy a nice pair for the main front and center channels and I will be all set. any recommendations? also, I am kind of on a budget and don't want to spend more than $400 for a pair of front speakers.
  17. Like what? I bought the Groove 2.0's before they were discontinued, I bought 5 sets of them, I use them in my living room right now with my TV and love them, they sound awesome stand alone with music too. they sound just as good as the ultra 2.0 do in my opnion and they are smaller and only run one driver each, I dont know how they did it, lol.
  18. I still have (2) brand new sets of the Klipsch Groove 2.0 speakers (not iGroove). I love those speakers and have never had a problem with them, I also have a couple sets of the the Ultra 2.0 that are used, one set does have the crackle a little bit, and the other set has never had a problem.
  19. lol, no. I made a quick attempt last week to make one up for you real quick but that crappy white connector end is prooving to be a little more difficult than I had imagined to crimp and put together, I keep over crimping or something and breaking the wire. I have not had the time lately to try again, but i am sure once I figure it out it should go okay, but not going as smooth as I had hoped. If I can find one of my pods that has bad circuitry then i can take the calbe from that and use it instead, but they are in storage right now and I am in no hurry to dig for them, lol.
  20. You are correct, it is the heat is on. Awesome, Thanks alot for that video link too, brought back some memories! lol. 48 Hours Rules!
  21. I always thought the lyrics were "The Heat is on"? hmmm.... lol. I have been singing that one wrong for years if you are right Bill. haha
  22. What Amplifier Issues? and yes, the DIN has been redesigned to a better design which will hopefully hold up better than the old design. The new satellites are worse though with the none removeable/non-upgradeable speaker wires.
