  1. My house/living room is nearing completion. I recently purchased some 16-guage wire to put in place while the wall studs are still open. My question has to do with using this (rather inexpensive) kind of wire which is just a tad thicker than standard 18-guage. Or should I spend big bucks for (Absolute Sound) high-end type speaker cables? In your experiences, are there real world audible differences? I am also looking to purchase Van Alstine (hybrid pre) and (solid-state) power amps to power these corner horns. Any other tips regarding the purchase, installation-set up of these K-horns will be appreciated. My email address: williams172166@bellsouth.net. Thanks, Rodney Williams
  2. Jeez, guys! This forum experience is awesome, and getting better! I am responding to several write-ups from someone named Rich; the Colorado guy named Bill W.; and another guy named Chris A. I am a newbie currently having a custom home built. Up 'til now was thoroughly committed to purchasing a pair of Khorns in/at the short side of an 18 x >30ft combo family-living/dining room. But, am seriously interested in checking out these Jubilee speakers (sight/audition-free, and based on your comments). Sounds like they are 2-way; easy to set up and use (without the complications of crossovers, room set-up, bass traps, etc.; like they are ready to go as soon as they are set up. I don't know how, if, or when I might get a response to this posting (today is Mon. Jan. 21, 2008). My email address is: williams172166@bellsouth.net My tag with this forum is RodneyakaFlash. Where and how should I go about ordering/getting a pair of these speakers? I have a budget that I set aside for the sole purpose of new audio equipment (speakers and electronics). I just relocated to central Georgia from the SF Bay Area of California. I recently retired from teaching; I look forward to listening to the music in my extensive vinyl LP and CD collection. Anyway...Thanks. RodneyakaFlash - "Flash"
  3. Hi again out there, Klipsch Forum community. Thanks, Rich/Coytee...Exactly what and where can I get more info about "Jubilee" speakers? Rod...aka Flash
  4. To each of the timely and informed responses to my recent inquiry about setting up new Khorns in my new home. Wow! There really is a live community out there! Feels good joining the Klipsch 'family'; I look forward to exchanging questions, tips, recommendations and advice. Again, many, many thanks for all of the responses that were in my email box - within hours[8-|]!! Rod...aka "Flash"
  5. This is my first try; hope I don't sound too dumb. Please be patient...Hope I can begin to build knowledge base regarding recommended set up with new Khorn speakers. I currently live in central Georgia; my custom home is under construction. The combination family-living/dining room measures 18feet wide by >30feet in length. Khorns will be placed in corners about 18feet apart. Some questions I have: 1)What is recommended required minimum power output from power/integrated amp?(Am looking at purchase of the hybrid pre and power amps from Audio by Van Alstine). 2.) Recommendations for speaker cables/interconnects? 3.) Do I need to bi-amp these speakers? 4.) How far/close to corners should these speakers be placed? These are just a few of the many questions that I have. The nearest audio "salon"-type store is 45 minutes away in Macon, Georgia (in fact, Ken's Home Theater will have these speakers available for a quoted $7500 per pair, installed with a 5-year warranty). I am new to this area, and thusly, have no one with whom to have an informed conversation regarding (entry-level)high-end audio. Hope someone out there reads and responds to this post. Thanks guys.
