I have had to get a flu shot every year as a health care worker and have gotten aches and chills multiple years and still got full blown flu one year. Around hear, the Doctors never take a flu shot, so why should nursing have too ?? Roger

NOPE !! Unless you have a N-95 mask with an air tight seal a mask only protects others from you if you are sick. Unless you have an N-95 mask with an air tight seal, you are actually increasing your own odds of getting sick PERIOD ... Roger

More information; studies have been done and a sneeze or a cough can exit the human mouth at 300 miles per hour. Someone who coughs in a supermarket aisle can infect you or goods two aisles over in either direction. I have seen several people in public sneezing or coughing without a mask and tell me, oh, it is just allergies. Since Covid-19 can be asymptomatic, just exactly how do you know you are not carrying it on top of your damned allergies., In this case, they should get a beat down for not having a mask on !! Another personal pet peave. I have had to wait in line with social distancing with groups of smokers hanging out at the entrance, both employees and customers. If I can smell your smoke, it has been in your lungs and if you wont get away from where I have to go to enter the store;; This is another reason for a public beat down as well. Roger

If your mask is NOT an N-95 mask WITH an air tight seal, your wearing a damned source of infection on your face. A non N-95 mask or a N-95 mask without an air tight seal is only protecting OTHERS if you yourself are sick. I think it is pertinent here to inform non medical background people here that hospital personnel are fitted for specific sizes pf N=95 masks and are tested for air tight seals. Roger

I can honestly say I have been a nurse for over 20 years and I have been travel nursing for over 10 years and I have NEVER worked anywhere where they used nitrile gloves for C-Diff. It has always pissed me off that we used gloves that I could smell crap on my hands after removing them. I have attended dozens of meetings at deozens of hospitals and I have even attended meetings on C-Diff and I have NEVER heard anything pushed on any specific type of gloves. Rest assured that tomorow I will be seeing what I can google on this and passing it on to a lot of medical professionals. Roger
