OK... so where would someone start if you wanted to get a pair of tweeters regaussed?
Thanks,
Tony

What is "re gaussed"? I have some K77's that seem a bit weak to me. Could it be that they need to be "re gaussed"?
Thanks,
Tony

John,
The same thought occured to me. If anything, they might be "doing" something with the K401 and not the LaScala. To my knowledge, the K401 is the only item that has had the price lowered. Other prices have been raised. Sometime ago, I priced an AL-4 network and while I don't remember the exact price, I remember it was outragous.

It does seem like a very good deal for the K401. I just hope the build quality is the same. If it is, I may buy a couple more for future projects.
I should have bought some K33E's while they were $100.00 each, oh well.
BTW, the AL-3 network is no longer available from Klipsch at any price. I'm told they won't be building any more. So now it's used or nothing.

No harm done. I know just how you feel. I can't tell you the number of times that I just missed out on a good deal. Anyway... when I get the new horns from Klipsch, I'll let everyone know if the build quality is the same.

As a point of information, the price of the K33 woofers went up. From $100 to $129.

John,
As you know, I'll be getting a pair of the "new" horns soon. I'll post pictures and comments when they are received.
Thanks,
Tony

Frzninvt,
The link was posted by another board member. That's how I found it. They only had 3. Was I only supposed to buy 1 or 2 or none? I wasn't aware that I had to "check in" to purchase something?

Rob,
I agree, I need to have the Cornwalls in a better place. Problem is, I'm running out of space. Anyway... I'm now on the lookout for some verital horn Cornwalls. I'd like to have them simply because they're a "rare" item.
Tony

Rob,
I thought you listened to my Cornwalls when you were down here (Hope & Little Rock) for the book signing. Anyway... you need a pair.
Tony

John,
I'll take the horns.

Marvel,
As far as the size of the rendering... the bigger the better.
Thanks,
Tony

Klipsch also limits how many speakers can be purchased per year.

This thread brings up an interesting question. Why would Klipsch discontinue one of (if not the) most popular finishes in the Heritage line? I say: Bring back Oiled Oak! In fact, lets have some Oiled Oak LaScalas.

Marvel,
That's the one! I'd love to have this from various angles. This is the best rendering of it's kind that I've seen. I'd very much like to have a copy of the "originals". Good work.
Thanks,
Tony

Can someone direct me to the "exploded" rendering of the woodgrain LaScala that was posted recently?
Thanks,
Tony

John,
How do you tell the "new" version from the "old" version?
Thanks,

I can purchase the Atlas PD-5VH driver for $109.00 new. Is this a good price? Does anyone have a "source" that might be cheaper?
Thanks,
Tony

I'm thinking of using the Atlas PD-5VH on these horns. Is $109.00 (new) a good price for these drivers?
Tony

Two of the horns are going in my next project, a pair of Oiled Oak LaScalas. The third one is for an "experimental" speaker project. Sorry.

The price they had posted was wrong. When I spoke to the sales guy he said "I can't imagine that price is right, let me check on it." He called me back to say they were $34.00 each and they actually had 3 in stock, a total of $102. He tacked on another $8. for shipping to make it $110. I purchased them without batting an eye. I think it was a pretty good deal!

Great site for some select Klipsch parts. I just bought 3 new K401 horns (still in the wrapping) for $110.00 (shipping included).

I've already made a deal for the networks... sorry.

Trey,
I assume those Piezos are no longer available. Do you or Engineer Jim know of a suitable replacement?
Thanks,
Tony
