I just spoke to a rep at Selenium. He said Parts Express just started buying the ADF25-25 adapter(#264322). It's not on the website yet, so you have to order it by phone.

I purchased a pair of the JBL 4648A-8's some time ago. There are 5 bolts in the top of each cabinet. I seem to remember some discussion about what mounts to the top of these things. I can't find the thread, does anyone remember?

The two walnut K-Horns and Belle center are still there in PWK's living room. They have K55V mid drivers and AA balancing networks. There are other speakers in the house, but these were his babies.

[History of the "newer" heritage speakers?]

There seems to be some debate about these speakers being "Heritage". Klipsch says they aren't. I own all 4 of these speakers and they come closer to that "Heritage" sound than any other. These speakers don't have a series name. I've been calling them the "Classic" line. Anyway... they are great speakers, very sought after. They were built just about the time that PWK was getting out of the business. There is also some debate about who designed them, PWK or the engineers at Klipsch. I know for a fact that PWK had a major hand in their design. They're in his house, and they wouldn't be there if they were designed by someone else.

I agree, the Quartet/Forte/Chorus line sounds more musical to my ear. I've had 30's for a while now, and I can't seem to get comfortable with the sound.

I'm currently getting everything together to build Oiled Oak LaScala's. You just described almost verbatim how I plan to build mine. The only difference is, I plan to incorporate biscuit joinery for added strength. I've built LaScala's before, you really do learn a lot by building, rather than haveing someone describe the procedure to you. Someone's first pair is generally the "learning curve" pair. When you were at the factory, what was the order the panels were assembled?
