  1. Gregg,

Should have asked Roy to sign them, but didn't. They are black laquer beauties.

believe me there is nothing to be gained by me signing them.... the only one in my opinion who could is gone and he would say that he did add some value....about 2 cents of ink.....[:D]

    boy!!

    Roy,

It sure was a hoot getting together to talk about Mr. Paul among other things.

  2. I wouldn't waste my time with the Sonic Impact. I've got one here on loan from Tom Brennan, but haven't seen him posting for quite a while now (I think it's been at least a year if not two). If it was mine I would just mail it free of charge for y'all to hear for yourself.

You just looking for a new toy to play with? $140 could buy quite a lot of music...

    Doc,

Please describe what you don't like about the Super T. I thought it sounded pretty good.

  3. "i have some proto horns (mod'd tractrix of course!) i made that are in between the 402 and 510 that, if i can find them..."

I think I'm going to send Tony Reed over to Valerie's and have him ****** the one off of PK's Jubilee and replace it with a K-J-5, I don't think she'll notice. I'll then have Crites reverse engineer it and see if he'll get a mold made.:)

Seriously, can you tell us the story of that horn?

Believe me, I've thought about doing that. How do you reverse engineer a horn?

  4. I have a question for Tony or who ever knows, If it's something I shouldn't ask just say so.

I met Tony in Hope for just a second, never really talked, so I don't know. Did Tony work for Klipsch or was friends with PWK ?

I Know he is a not going to brag, so I thought I would ask, if it's personal just say so, it's none of my business but it is interesting ? Tony if you would rather not say, that's fine.

    dtel

I have never worked for Klipsch. I was lucky enough to visit with PWK on various occasions and had the sad honor of being a pall bearer at his funeral. (the only time I've ever given in to being a pall bearer)

  5. Wow... I guess I've had too much time on my hands since June '99. Seriously, I sure have enjoyed this BB over the years. I've met some good people through this forum.

    Nice work Dee.

It has been my pleasure to meet Tony Reed on two occasions. To say that many of us are pure PWK fans, would be an understatement related to Tony. When looking at his profile, he lists Khorns, Las, Cw's, RF, etc....but it doesn't say HOW MANY of each unit he owns. It doesn't list how many are connected to amps, and how many will produce sound at the simple "push of the ON button". He doesn't just own Klipsch, he owns complete Klipsch product lines. Tony puts his money where many of our mouths are.

IMO, Tony Reed is an underspoken, humble man, who deserves our undying RESPECT as to one who "walks the PWK walk" and doesn't simply speak of it.

Sorry if this post embarrasses you Tony, but, it is what it is. If there is a working PWK museum, you own it.

    Respectful Regards,

    Terry

    Terry,

It's been a pleasure meeting you as well. You're too kind.

    Thank You,

    Tony
