  1. Bass, just wanted to add that the bass is large, full, front firing, tight, clean, clear, accurate, no boomy sound. Best clean, clear bass I've heard. I get very good bass but after break-in period the bass seemed to become even more big, open, more thump. break in could be all in my head, could be my head breaking in? Lovin these speakers.
  2. Great speakers! It sounds great, is in a different league than my cornwall and klipschorn speakers. Rounded open detailed sound, clean, clear, lifelike. Well worth the effort to build these! Slightly more relaxed than Klipschorn but more full rounded, yet BIG sound like Klipschorn.
  3. Bob does make some nice crossovers!! I am the only person on the planet that doesn't own a digital camera. I have no pictures but the building is coming along. It will look just like the post pictures design that Catbo speakers look like, exactly. I've cut all the wood and have the speakers glued in place and tomorrow with the weekend here, I will be able to put in more time, things are movin along.
  4. Ok...... I've got every thing in that I ordered to build a set of Super C Walls and will build just like the pics I see here. I'll let ya know how it comes out. I'm very excited about this. [*] I start building tomorrow (Saturday).
  5. Nice picts, the man does do some quality work! Would love to hear how they sound!
  6. Thanks for sharing that picture dmonte, it looks like you have it mounted nicely with the screws. I'll check out the adapter. Strange, Selenium makes the male horn adapter out of aluminum (Selenium ADM25-25 Horn Adapter) but makes the female horn adapter (Selenium ADF25-25 Horn Adapter) out of plastic. I've hunted all over the internet for horn adapters but selections seem very limited these days, looks like the Selenium ADF25-25 is the only choice I have to make sure it will fit inside.
  7. Looking at these drivers, I've wondered the very same. I'm very interested in this design and love the looks of this Super C. I'm thinking about building a set for myself too. I don't see anything available like this from Klipsch, it would be great to have the bass of the cornwall and the larger horn combo, surprised Klipsch hadn't come up with this design before all these CornScalas showed up. Sounds like Bob Crites should have the answer to the crossover points and where best to? I saw the plastic adapter on partsexpress but sure wish they would have a metal one. I'll have to find out about the other adapter listed here, if that would work or not? (P-Audio PC50 Adapt) It looks long and might be cutting it close to the cabinet size? Any one try that one yet?
  8. Used Audio Store here has been getting lots of stuff. Sales guy said with the high gas prices, food cost going up, and people struggling to make it with all this high cost, he is seeing more and more coming in, people need the money. I noticed my area on craigslist there is lots of Klipsch and other stereo stuff on it more than the normal. It's a shame people have to sell with they love for the money they need from this kind of high cost they put upon us. []
  9. I guess it all depends on our equipment and speakers but here, I have my RF-7 bi-wired and use them like that but it took me all day going back and forth to hear any difference with 3 other people, we finally picked up on the bass being slightly wider sounding vs slightly forward bass sounding, being the slightly wider bass was biwired and the slightly forward slightly narrower bass was not being biwired. My other Klipsch speakers are single wire and I've left them that way as the benefits are very small gains and not as easily heard here. YMMV but it's how it is here
