Ive got a set of the Speakelab Khorn plans....somewhere. And just to ease your mind about the PD-4V driver, one of my two pairs of Speakerlab K's came with the PD-4V drivers. I'm right in the middle of modifiying my top cabs to take the Altec 515B horn, but I can tell you that driver sounds very good with the Altec.

What amp are you running on your Corns? Sounds an awful lot like some clipping action going on there.

Hi Don, I have purchased a few things from Bob and always been pleased. Since I have so little invested in the K's, I have some leverage to get the best woofs available that will work.

Thanks for the information Maron, I got the pair of K's for $400, so spending some money on woofers isn't an issue. They were even upgraded with T-350 tweeters! The wood needs refinished, but both bass horns are done and I just need to refinish the top cabinets.

Greetings, I bought a pair of khorns with blown woofers. I remember a website on upgrading khorns and they raved about using the JBL D130 woofer in place of the K33 woofer. For the life of me, I cannot remember or find that website. Does anybody know which JBL D130 (F, K, etc) they used or the website? Thanks! Jim, AB0EZ
