Optical Standards

I use four RS-62 surrounds in my HT system. While running Audyssey I noticed my tweeters in my LS had stopped working. "No sound" at all from either tweeter. I did not notice any strange noises before I discovered the tweeters were not operating. Would the tweeters have an internal fuse that could have blown? The 6 1/2" mid bass drivers operate fine. Yes those are Epik Conquests pictured. The internal dimensions are 49" W X 20.5" D X 7' H. It has a 36" W X 80" H rear access door. The 10 adjustable shelves are 22" wide x 20' deep. There is 19-7/8" clearance on the left, 5-7/8" on the right and 7" on the rear when the door is closed. It has a temostatically controlled exhaust fan. OS

I moved into a dedicated room I just finished. It is 13' 10" W x 21' 8" D x 8' 6" T The screen is a 128" diagonal 2.35:1 and the projector is a Panasonic PT-AE3000U I still need to finish my equipment closet that is recessed in the back wall. I loaded up a few pieces of gear into a cabinet on wheels and hooked up an Anti-Mode 8033 room correction to the Conquests. A couple hours of audio/video hook up and calibration and... I have a HSU ULS-15 QuadDrive System I am testing up front. I'm still waiting for my Home Theater recliners to arrive so I moved in my single seat. OS

The room is 15 ft wide and has seating for one. I originally was going to put some RS-62's on the side walls were my Def Tech BPVX's are. Due to a right side wall room configuration that changed I decided to go with some floorstanding RF-63's. After doing some research I also decided I wanted to try some directs for side surrounds. OS I also installed some RS-62's on the side walls this evening. I haven't had time to do any A/B comparisons with the RF-63's on the floor. OS

That would be two StudioTech U-60 Rosewood I was pleased with most of the construction. Metal tube sub frame, large threaded metal inserts for adjustable shelves, Bottom wooden base attaches into the heavy metal subframe with bolts into threaded inserts. The top panel wasn't so exciting. It just uses cheap cam and pin fasteners. These type of fasteners were used throughout on my piano black Pioneer Elite cabinets with no problem but were of higher grade. That is the only place they skimped. I would have liked to see the top panel install to the metal subframe the way the sides and bottom panels did. The top panel really doesn't add and structural integrity. The support comes from the heavy metal square tube subframe,side and bottom panel. I replaced the clear doors with thicker smoked glass. They were fine when they were up front to the sides of the screen. When I moved them to the side of the room it was just as good as having a large mirror there. I was thinking of a built in wall unit. It would be perfect as a have a closet directly behind them in the room next door. It would free up space in the room and I would have access to the rear through the closet door. Plumb in some AC flex duct from the top of the closet and I'm good to go.

Rudy81 I haven't seen to many pictures of the C3. Would you have a link to the Parasound forum? I find the programmable channels in the C2 very useful. I am using one on my tactile transducers and the other on rear subwoofers. I am still planing on using one or two of the programmable channels on the C2 when I install the Intergra. Overall I have been very pleased with Parasounds performance. I have used several of their amplifiers in the past and an AVC-2500 controller. I haven't been to concerned with 2 ch performance since I had been using bipolar speakers. It might change now that I am switching over to a Klipsch system. OS

I just ordered the newly released Integra DHC-9.9 the replacement of the DTC-9.8. This will also be a replacment for my Parasound C2 that I have been using since it's release. I will be looking at Parasounds C3 that is scheduled to be released in a few months. OS

Thanks for the welcome. I am looking to upgrade the C2 possibly with the C3 when it's released. I have owned the Conquests for a few weeks now. I purchased them to replace some Velodyne HGS-18's I had been using. I added the MBM-12's recently as well. I just picked up the ULS-15 DuelDrive system. I have been using tactile transducers in my system for at least 10 years. I believe that is user preference. I originally had ordered a pair of RS-62's for the sides as well. Due to my new room configuration I decided to try some direct floorstanders on the sides. If I don't like the performance I will hang some RS-62's on the side walls. OS

I am switching over to Klipsch speakers in my HT system. I have been using Definitive Technology bipolars for about 8-10 years. The room is 2048 cf sealed. I have GIK tri-traps from floor to ceiling in the corners as well as panels. My current configuration. Mains: BP 2000TL Center: C/L/R 3000 Sides: BPVX Rear: BPVX Subwoofers: Duel Epik Conquests, HSU ULS-15 DuelDrive System, Duel HSU MBM-12's, Duel original Buttkickers driven by duel bridged Crown K2's.
