  1. Chris, Call 1-800-288-6169. They are in Binghamton NY. Ask to talk to someone in sales and they will give the closest dealer/electrical wholesaler in your area. If you have trouble, let me know and I will call them myself. Chris, If you are really into good power filtration/surge protection, you will not be disappointed with the C.C. Active Tracking Filter System. An example of this is that I have a customer that has four 100 amp 3 phase units that have been in service for about a year and a half. These units have transient/surge counters on them and they have recorded over 1.6 million surges each with no problems. This is an extreme case but only goes to show how good the product is. Ben
  2. Boa12, Don't bother, most of them are junk. I have been selling power protetction stuff to the computer industry for the past 12 years. From small stuff to total building power protection equipment. Go to the following link and check out the Islatrol Plus Active Tracking Filter System. Line cord models start with LRIC+, 2.5 to 15 amps etc. www.control-concepts.com Trust me, You will not find anything better. Ben
  3. ArtK: I have owned a Marantz SR-19EX for the past three months and think it is one of the best units on the market. I had two Sony ES555 units that gave me no end of trouble, really bad hissing plus a crappy remote. The Marantz works very well with the horns on the RF3 speakers. It tends too make them sound smoother. I have not listened to the Arkam so I cannot comment. I have the complete set of Reference Series speakers for my HT and for music. I would highly recommend the Marantz SR-19EX with any Klipsch product. Good luck Ben
  4. JMatte: I had two 555ES units, both hissed like you would not believe with only my Klipsch Reference series speakers connected them. Just like you most of the hiss came from the center and surround speakers. It drove me nuts! I tried everything to fix it. Finally sent them both back and got a Marantz SR-19EX. NO HISS AT ALL. This Marantz is the quietest reciever I have ever heard! Sorry I have not quick fix for you. Ben
  5. HornEd: Thank you very much for spending the time to educate me on this important subject which I want get right the first time! In a nut shell, given the speakers that I have what you use/add to make this a great HT system. EG: Fronts, Center, Sides, Rears. The reason I am asking this is that would I not have a miss match of speakers going with RF7's as apposed to another set of RF3's for the rears. I was also thinking of eventually going with 4 KSW12's or two additional KSW15's. Thx Ben
  6. I would like to get some advice on the best location for my speakers for my new HT room that I am building. The room is 16.5' wide x 33' long. The ceiling is 8' high. I have the following hardware: Sony V Series 48" RPTV. (soon to be a Sony Widescreen 65") Marantz SR-19EX. Klipsch RF3, RC3, RS3, 2 x KSW12. I am going to buy 2 x Marantz MA500 monoblocks plus another set of RS3 so I can get 6.1 sound. I play 50% music, 50% movies. Thx Ben
  7. I had two of the 555ES recievers and both hissed like you would not believe. They even hissed with nothing connected to them but my RF3, RC3, RC3. Sent them both back and got a Marantz SR19EX. What a product!!. NO HISS AT ALL. Fantastic Product.
