  3. I'm sure you know more about it than me its just I've never seen anything Aluminum rust in. Maybe its the other metals in the alloy doing the oxidizing? I cut and pasted this from encarta.com it states; "In contact with air, aluminum rapidly becomes covered with a tough, transparent(<-key word here) layer of aluminum oxide that resists further corrosive action. For this reason, materials made of aluminum do not tarnish or rust." I have some 10 year old aluminum cylinder heads that are exposed to extremly high heat, sub-degree temps, and moisture and there isnt a bit of oxidation on them. Yes aluminum is pretty soft(so is paper) but combine it with titanium one of the strongest and lightest metals and you have a heck of a alloy. Titanium wont rust or tarnish either if im not mistaken. 4. Well the only heritage speakers I've heard were Heresy's and I didnt care much for them, they lack dynamics. I havnt heard any Khorns or corns but all the Khorns I've seen on e-bay look like crap. Or they sure don't look like something I want in my house anyway. They look homemade to me. As far as anodized aluminum, I'm going to guess it's mainly for a dampning effect and looks since aluminum really doesnt have alot of corrosion.
  5. Go direct to the T.V. The less interference in between the signal the better. The out labeled sub is the only out. The other like it says is for a center channel. I'm not sure if it matters if you go to the left or right in on the sub. You may want to read the manual for the sub to see. Your best bet is to get a y adapter and split it right at the sub to go in both. Most sub cables come with this adapter. I think i read it increase's your subs output by like 6db.? Hope this helps and good luck.
  6. I would have liked to see a follow up from Klipsch to cc1091's post...
  7. Slow and fast drivers is really just another way of saying this woofer does/doesnt do what it is suppose to? I mean you ever heard a driver that was too fast? I'm sure you've heard one that is too slow. One thing that I never see mentioned is woofer excursion. Wouldn't that play a part in how fast or slow a diver sounded? I would think (me not knowing much) that the more the excursion the slower the driver would sound. seems to me this would play a bigger part than the actual size of the woofer. Also sealed box's seem to me to have a tighter sound than 'most' ported ones. jmho
  8. How do you tune a sub? by the port? If so how do you tune a sealed sub? J.R.
  9. I've been thinking about my question and here's my guess. Its only a guess but it would make perfect since if - the Rf-5 is just an Rf-3 in real wood veneer, and the Rb-3 is a Rb-5 in a vinyl veneer. That would keep the 5 series as real wood and the 3 series as the same thing in vinyl. That would mean there should be a Rc-5 in wood also. Does that make since? Just a guess! George help me out here....
  10. So the Rf-7 have 10 inch woofers, what did the Rf-5 have?
