  1. Dear Greg I also purchased my MCMs From Derek and Dale Morreau at New England Speaker when they were in Portland Me. I also went to Benton Me. in the 80s to purchase a set of industrial La Scalas that had the big KLIPSCH logo painted in white on the sides. Dale morreau set pup the purchase for me, that may have been you . I live in Fitchburg, Ma. Drop me a line, I know Dale is no longer employed there but are they still located in Scarborough?? Thanks Joey B KP600
  2. Hi Guys; I do not have the KP 456 speakers with the 1132 drivers Bob @ Ram Sound Has some. Mine are all 450 As with the K60 drivers. Chuck Mulhearn told me that the new 60x90 horn that hey used with the 904 LF in the theatre system (904 bottom is the Kp 450 Lf section) will work just fine. I have people that rent the 450s for DJ gigs that want to buy the 904 and associated horn them if I can make them road worthy. If any one has KP 450s for sale or just the crossovers I am interested.need more help call me @ 978-343-9343 home phone leave message will cal back in the evening. Thanks Joey B Northeast Sound
  3. P.S. The 904 Theatre speaker is the KP 450 LF section with no grill and handles and they have a new B&C 90 deg. horn that will work just fine. The KP 450 A or B ws a great speaker I have 8 of them. The later versions were called KP 456 A or B. They used an 1132 driver in the HF instead of the K 60.. Need more info call me @ 978-343-9343. Thanks Joey Brogna Northeast Sound
  4. Good Day Sir; Great to see you are still around. What are we doing now? I joined the forum because people were asking questions and no one would answr them. Your input would be very helpful to the great people on this forum because you lived it!!! It has been very difficult to try to get any info from the new people at Klipsch. They don' t know the pro product very well at all. Well god to see your name again, take care Joey.
  5. Hey Ian; Welcome back, its been a long time since I saw your name. Joey Brogna Northeast Sound here in Ma. Still using a 24 box KP 600 system !!! Love Them. Good to here your around. Talk to you soon. Joey B
  6. Hi There; If you really want solid bass from the 301 series try to find a pair of Klipsch CP1s ( Cornwall Pro Series 1 ) they were only produced for a short time and had a box about the same size as the Cornwall. Very hard to find but there must be some out there, they were also one of the flattest speakers that Kipsch produced at the time. Good Luck Joey B
  7. Hi Guys; The K 42 EP is the new version of the original EV 12 L that was in the Heresy industrial in the late 70s and 80s. It was replaced with the K 42 E the E is for Eminince, The EP is for Eminence Pro series II. Eminence OEM ed the drivers for Klipsch. Now on to the MSSM sub squaker. it used an EV 10 M or L series speaker, really easy to find on E-Bay!!! The only difference in EV series speakers EV L or B series is when they are tested in the factory, the ones that reproduce a little lower responce became B series or BASS speakers or L for LEAD. When a reconer like my self recones one we all use a Series II recone kit for the L or B, one kit for both. The KP 600 also uses a 10 EV in the the low mid module. I own 8 of them. The MSM Squaker in the MCMs used a Gauss HF 4000 16 ohm driver ( parts still avail. ). They were then replaced with the 4X K55 four barrel manifold, great improvement !!! The Peizo drivers in the MTM were also dumped in favor of the MMTM which used 4X K79 ( EV t-35 ) drivers on a 4 barrel manifold. Another great improvement. The Piezo drivers would begin to sound a lot different as they got older. Also remember when you use a Gauss HF 4000 in the MCM mid do not cross it over at 600 HZ as in the spec sheet. In a very short time it will begin to rasp out or destroy itself. Crossover at 800 HZ and it will last and last. The beauty of the Klipsch design is that sometimes he used cheap drivers th obtain great results. Eg: University drivers ( K 55 ). Thanks Joey B
  8. How are you? Yes I purchased spare X-overs on E-Bay 5 years ago. The cable ends should be standard Cannon EP Series, if you need cable I can get them built with the EP series connectors on them in any legnth at dealer cost. The K- 60 driver is an EV DH 1506. The diaph. is still available. You need to take the ring off the assembly as the K-60 does not need it as in the EV driver. If you need any I have them and also if you need I can rebuild them for you. Call me in the evening sometime 978-343-9343 I may have alot of info you can use as I am well versed in all the pro stuff. And yes a 24 box KP 600 system is scary!!! You would need 36 to 40 boxes in EAW 850s series which was the best selling trap box concert system at the time to stand up to the KP 600s. Thanks Joey B
  9. Sounds like a KP 320. These sounded very good. I installed a pair in a local Ma high school 13 years ago and they sound great. I opted to use these because of limited budget and they project low freq much much better than a ported speaker when they are put in the air. If you need a cut sheet i have them all, good luck Joey B.
  10. Hi Mike; Hope your church install goes well, I did an install in Dec 08 in my local senior center which is an old armory with a huge dance hall. I used 3 Klipsch KI 362s in a center cluster flown up side down and I have close to 180 deg. h - coverage. We used EV amps Ashly ProTea digital eqs. We also used smaller Klipsch speakers for delays. The system kicks A**. If you ever get a chance call my home phone @ 978-343-9343 and we will talk. Yes a 24 box KP600 system is pretty crazy. I have had the chance to purchase a new line array but just could not bring myself to do it as I would need 40 boxes to do what the 600s are already doing!! Thanks Joey B
  11. Hello; I own a 4 way MCM and I believe the K 41s were an EV 10 L. You should be able to find them easy on EBay. Good Luck. Joey B
  12. Hi Mike; I rent a truck. Crest 8001s on subs and lows and Crest 4801s on mids and highs. All others mostly on Carver 2.0s. I have 7 of them in my monitor rack. I use the stock KP 600 EC crossovers because they have optimal curves at x over points and will not overload till after an output of 7v. I tried some BSS mini drives but were to difficult to make adjustments real fast. The Klipsch crossovers were made by USA audio (Whirlwind), they looked at Wheatstone to make them but were to costly. I wish they did build them because they have their drawbacks from USA Audio. Calling this weekend would be fine. Phone calls would save on our fingers and transfer more info. TRhanks Joey B Northeast Sound
  13. Dear Mike; I will post some pictures in the near future. I also use 16 KSM 15 II, 4 KP 450 A, 4 vintage Industrial LaScalas w/trim package, you should hear them with the KP 480 sub. They take a 1963 design and put it over the top. I have 60 Klipsch in my inventory. Call me sometime aft. 6:00 pm EST and we will talk. I have been using Klipsch since my high school electronics teacher showed me his home LaScalas.( My jaw hit the ground!!!! ) 978-343-9343 My home phone. Thanks Joey
  14. Hi Amy; Talked to chuck just acouple of days before he left. Had some questions about some kp 362s. I had purchased three for an installation in late 2007 and he said they were going to be produced again? wanted to know if they were and also the status of bringing back the kp 366s. The whole pro division has gone away and wanted to know if it will return? I use a 24 box KP 600 A system for my sound co ( the best sounding large format system EVER ) --all the speakers I use are Klipsch, just hope Pro Returns. Thanks Joey B Northeast Sound
  15. Hi; Just saw your post, I too have Gauss HF 4000 drivers in my MCM Speakers(swakers). The HF 4000 Gauss is a 16 ohm aluminum diaph. It is still available. If you need info contact me. Can get all the kits you need. PS I repair klipsch drivers and i also recone their speakers.
  16. Hi folks; Just wanted to know what happened to Chuck Mulhern? Besides Roy, Jim Hunter, Bruce Marlin(1132),Georgia (Bell),Tom Gallagher Chuck was the man to talk about Pro Series. Thank you Joey B.
