  1. Thanks for the advice Groom! I'll definitely give it a try.
  2. Thanks for the reply Jay. I guess i'll try that out and see what happens.
  3. Hey guys, I recently purchased a pair of rf-83's and a rc-64. One 83's veneer got stripped in the corner due to shipping and my rc-64 go a little mashed in one of the corners. Do you guys have any tips on how to repair them and do you guys have any idea how much it would cost to do so? Thanks! This is the crunched corner on the rc-64 This is the stripped corner on the 83.
  4. I have the 60 gb version and it does make a lot of fan noise. Initially, after turning on the system, it's quiet but when playing games for a while or watching movies, it'll get loud. The speakers are able to drown out the noise, but of course, it's quite noticeable during quiet scenes. My ps3 was one of the earliest ones when they first came out.... so they probably have fixed this with the newer ones. The ps3 60 gb version, which is no longer manufactured, could play ps2 and ps1 games.. but the newer ones, as berserk has mentioned, can only play ps1 games and only a bare few ps2 games because sony decided to get rid of the backwards compatible emotion engine to cram more hard drive memory in. All in all, ps3 has a great value due to it's many existing functions (if you're going to use it's other functions that is). =]
  5. Hi, I'm a long time viewer first time poster. I've had the synergy quintet iii's, c-2, and sub-10 for some time and decided to upgrade the fronts to the rf-82's and move the quintets back. The rf-82's sound great and I'm happy with my purchase, but would this set up be okay for some time? As expected, I've found the sub-10 to be a bit underpowered to the rf-82's but with some increase in gain, I think it could manage. The main thing is that I find the c-2 to be so much more limited as compared to the reference centers I've heard. I believe the center will be my next priority upgrade. I think the quintets do a good enough job to just be the rear and surrounds. Oh, and btw, this is all being powered by the HK avr-354. I am a college student and so I am a bit limited on budget. Thus, I will be able to afford the upgrade sometime down this year. Also, out of curiosity would two sub-10's be better than a single sub-12? I ask this because I think i could get another sub-10 for much cheaper combined with my current sub-10 purchase than buying a sub-12. Or would you guys recommend just buying a HSU or SVS? I have a small room so I don't need too much bass, but with time... I will be hungry for more. Also, I bought the rf-82's used for a pretty good price, but they came to me missing their feet... Does anyone know where I could buy some? =D Thanks!
