  1. wow....that was easy.... installed the crites x-overs tonight... i will post a few pics when i have more time..
  2. thanks, got it from a member over at the Emo forum. killer price too.
  3. yeah...didn't quite expect to get both the UPA-7 and Integra 9.9 in the same week.
  4. sadly, that's what happened to my RF-3s...............
  5. thanks Bill, i did look at the XPA-3, but have learned of complaints about noise level with the XPA and heritage speakers, so i toned down and opted for the UPA series for its quietness. in a way, i wasn't completely surprised, since i knew the 805 had an excellent amp (actually delivered around 120wpc with 5/7 channels driven). i was hoping for a notinceable difference right away, but i guess if i spent enough time i might actually spot a few things.
  6. yes, sometimes later this year......or next......
  7. funny you brought that up. i was looking to give my cornwalls a little clean up while updating the x-overs this week. what exact lemon oil do you use? any prep work? or just cloth, oil, and clean?
  8. WARNING: Do not touch the heritage stuff. you'll regret it.
  9. yes, the onkyo 805 did very well. it was just a desire to go separates. i have the integra dhc 9.9 coming this week.
  10. you're right that this amp is incredibly cool. the 805 runs 3-4x hotter, even when just serving as a pre/pro. i listen at low/moderate level. nothing too crazy. i have yet to tested it out with a movie.
  11. couldn't tell a difference.....perhaps the 805 was doing a fine job, or i have dead ears...or maybe a combination of both... didn't get the WOW factor i was hoping for.
  12. well, i need to find some of your words because i plugged mine in, hooked up the cornwalls but could really tell a difference. perhaps my ears are gone.
  13. hey thank guys, what's the point of the 12v trigger? to take the amp out of stand by mode when the receiver is switched on? or i can just turn the amp on/off manually right?
  14. hey guys, do you need to connect the 12v trigger wire to the receiver? i didn't see a connection on my onkyo 805.
  15. thanks, i'll be taking the back panels off tonight for a look....will verify.
  16. i'll be putting my Onkyo 805 up for sale in the coming weeks if you're interested......
  17. thanks guys...consider this thread closed!
  18. wow.....great response... translation: save the cash, move on........
  19. so i got my first separates setup, and it got me thinking. do i need to get better power cord? so what's the verdict? does it REALLY make a difference? also note that i am not going to spend $100+ on the cord. if it's something like $40-$50, i would consider the upgrade. thanks
  20. thanks bill, i will do as you said and report back.
  21. so i need to check and make sure my cornwalls have k-55 and k-77 drivers?
  22. not sure i understand what you meant....
  23. my cornwalls are '83, and i got type B....did i get the wrong one? should i get the type B-2?
  24. i just purchased a Type B crossovers from a forum member....and just saw this on Bob Crites website: "For the Klipsch Cornwall, we build the Type B crossover used until around 1982 and also the Type B-2 and B-3 used from about 1982 until the end of the Cornwall I production in 1985" my cornwalls are '83, so does that mean i would need the Type B-2?
