  1. I am interested in selling my Klipsch 4.1's and getting seperate components for a 2.1 audio system. I do not know what receiver I should get, nor do I know what speakers or sub to get either. The receiver will be hooked up to my computer, so I can use them as my computer speakers too. Also, I would preferably like a receiver with more than 2 speaker outputs because I will expand to 4 once I get the money. For the moment, I would like bookshelf speakers with a responsive, powerful sub. Ideally, the price for 1 receiver, 2 bookshelves, and 1 sub should be under $600. I know that's a push, but I don't have much money to break on audio right now. If someone really recommends me to wait a little bit more, I will, then I'll have quite a bit more money from a summer job.

Thanks to those who can help,

  3. Thanks a lot guys! Especially DanF... I tried the pin thing and it worked, well, to some extent. It doesn't look perfectly round any more, but that's not possible, it's just that I'm picky. It's a lot better than before though. I'm so glad there's so many of you smart ones around Wink.gifSmile.gif

  4. Justin, thanks soooo much! Hope to hear from you Smile.gif

I had my speaker guard off and I had lots of books and stuff stacked on my table right in front of my speaker for one evening. I moved some stuff around, and I guess one of the books' corner in the stack indented the bubble. Frown.gif

  5. Hi, you know the little bubble-like things that are at the center of the woofers on the 4.1 speakers? Well, I have one speaker that is dented a little there, and I can't figure out how to "pull" the bubble back out so it it round again. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Smile.gif

  6. I know the 5.1's aren't even out yet, but I am in anticipation for a 4.1 to 5.1 upgrade package. I just bought my 4.1's in March, and it's torture to see the new 5.1's come out, and me not be able to do anything about it. So Amy, if you read this, please make sure that Klipsch hears that some of us (I'm sure) want an upgrade package. Thanks Amy!

  7. In the past, I remember a few people saying that they stopped by their local RadioShack and found satellite stands that perfectly match the 2.1 and 4.1 satellites. Well now I am looking for stands for my rear 4.1 satellites, and I know that the RB-1 Quintet stands don't exactly fit nicely with the 2.1 and 4.1 satellites. If anyone could give me the RadioShack product number or name of the RadioShack stands, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

  8. I recently accidentally dented the small protruding bubble cone on one of my Klipsch satellites, and I don't know what to do. They are not extremely damaged, but the bubble at the center of the speaker is indented a little. The satellite still sounds really good, but I know it doesn't sound as good as it would if it weren't damaged. Is there any way to fix the indentation? I opened the satellite itself and there's no way I can "push it back" from the other side of the speaker. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  9. I'm really sure that the wattage of the Pro's is 400 watts is the max dynamic output. I don't believe that the system puts out 400 watts RMS because when I play the speakers full volume, it's not 400 watts, I can tell. Anyways, do you think that the 4.1 sub has 160 watts RMS? No way, even the KSW-10 has only 55 watts RMS, so I'm guessing the Pro's sub has about 40-50 watts RMS. When they say 400 watts they mean amplifier max output, but that's not RMS, I have not seen anywhere where it says 400 watts RMS.
