  1. From what I have heard from a couple of people who own it and for the price, the Pioneer Elite DV-45A is a sweet piece, and from what I have seen and read on the net, nice piece at a low cost, from around $180-250 on Ebay, I''d recommend it for that price range and both Audio formats...

  2. Actually with my Khorns I was using an Adcom GFA-585LE with my Pioneer VSX-9900S in 93(and Monster cable...PWK did). Then it was 3 Marantz MA700 mono blocks and my Khorns and a KLFC7 upfront(Hersey II's off the receiver for rears). I boxed the amps and ran everything off the Marantz SR18EX Reference A\V receiver direct and had more than enough power, clean.

My (93)Khorns are now in Southern Alberta and in good hands with a Klipsch fanatic\member, and now running my 00 La'Scala's in their place.....[;)]

I have a McIntosh MC275 tube amp boxed new and in standby mode(bought with the sale of my Khorns), wish I had my girls back to hear this beast perform....tested on my Scalz, awesome....

  3. Plasma for dark\intimate viewing with dark surroundings...lcd looks great in the daytime with light reflection absorbed, where as plasma reflects off somewhat with a reflection of Bob Barker and the Prices is Right....[;)].

But as someone stated..."ANGLE VIEW"...which looks better from the side at 3ft wide by 7ft back...and on the couch watchin Sunday football and hockey...plasma IMO....traded in my 53" RPTV with 30 days of purchase and back to tube, owning the Toshiba 34HF81C...[;)]

Panasonic has a nice 50" plasma within reason....

  4. you don't need an "expert" to tweak your system IMO, sounds like you did the right thing. Adjust the levels using your spl through the 9300, I use a Marantz SR18EX with LaScala's and a rat shack spl(analog)...works out fine tweaking myself, and a friend or 2 with additional ears so to speak...

    they bring the cold 1's.....[;)]

PS. I know guys that charge $75 an hour to do it, minimum 2-3 hrs service call.....what for, they're not laying cable....[:o]
