    Bluetooth

Thanks gmarcm! Can you help me narrow down between ref and reg ones?

    Bluetooth

I'm a reference guy and like the copper color of refs. Beyond looks I'm more interested in sound. Still not sure which way to go. I like the wireless option but I'm worried there might be sound degregation. Thanks for your response. Do you have any direction?

    Bluetooth

I'm looking at getting a pair of headphones and have been going back and forth between Bluetooth ones or reference ones. Does anyone know if they will be releasing reference Bluetooth? I hear the bt1s have more bass. I'm not a bass head but do appreciate a nice punchy rounded sound. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Thank you all for the great input and pics! I wish I could enjoy a beer in your backyards and enjoy the sound. How would a rock sound as compared to hanging speakers? I'm liking the rock option however I think my dogs would make it their new "post".
  5. I am doing some research on getting some speakers put in my backyard. I am considering a speaker rock or two speakers to hang in the easement of my roof. I have currently been running my reference bookshelf speakers back there and they sound great. I have a small back yard so I'm aiming for sound quality as opposed to beefy speakers. I have a friend who says outdoors speakers don't sound as good as say my RF line. Is this true? What are your recommendations?
  6. Here's a good deal on a great Denon http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVR3310CI-7-1-Channel-Multi-Zone-Connectivity/dp/tech-data/B002AKKFQ2/ref=de_a_smtd
  7. Is there a way to get music CD's or even Digial music from my satellite to sound as good as the tracks they put on movies? Would I need a different set up like a 2 channel receiver? Currently when I run 5 channel stereo I lose a lot of the fullness of the songs (mids). When I do dolby digital it isn't as good as if the songs was in a music soundtrack in the actual movie.
  8. Thanks for the reminder to this post. I did get them installed and I like them a lot. They are a little brighter in sound than my RF-10's but for surround they seem to do the trick. Personally I don't think I would use in walls as my mains as they lack the bass you would get from an enclosed configuration. There isn't enough room for a custom box where I have them installed. Nonetheless they are great speakers for my intents and purposes but again, not sure that I would be sattisfied with them if they were my mains. I will try to post pics as soon as i figure out how to do it.
  9. How did I forget to add my sub to my list? Good catch and thanks for input Lopez and Chris in Vermont (never met anyone from Vermont). I actually have a KEF PSW 1150 sub. It's only an 8 inch but it shakes my house (i LOVE it) . I will run Audessy again and take a closer look as to the frequency ranges it sets and go from there. It's a learning process I need to get used to. Especially since I plan to grow my system (as my income can afford). I am considering the RF-7's (or something similar) as replacements to my towers one day. My Denon will get a long with that line right? Or are they too power hungry (Klipsch speakers usually aren't)
  10. Thank you so much for putting it out there. I appreciate it. Looks like you know what your doing by the looks of your signature you know what your doing.

  12. Thanks a lot guys.... I just had to vent. I am getting used to it somewhat as I don't notice it as much if I'm not looking for it. Still not sold but I am willing to give it a little time before I go and change the whole thing. JJKIZAK has a good point in that it should be set to my personal taste. If I can't get over it within a week or two I will just tweek it myself. My wife likes it better the way it looks like now and so it's going to be harder to change it after I sold her on spending the $$ to get it professionally done. I did switch my speakes back to small and I like it a lot better. I wish I knew more about audio to tweeki my sound better. Professionals are really expensive and I am so picky that I would have them there all day. I ran the Audessy mic and not completely happy with it. I want to set the reciever crossovers manually. I love and hate home audio! You guys rock for your helpfulness and input.
  13. Has anyone paif for an ISF tv calibration and not been happy with the results? I just had my Samsung Plama done and although I did watch it for the last two months on dynamic and standard, the new picture looks flad and almost faded. I can see a lot more detail in my grays meaning I was watching Iron man and the part where he is in the cave he was wearing dark slacks and was on dark sheets and you could tell the difference in shades. but that scene looks too gray to me. I know I should let my eyes get accustomed but I'm having a hard time adapting and am really tempted to hit the reset button. Additionally they technician messed with my receiver settings (at my request) and he changed my RC-10 center and my in wall R-5502 rears to "large". he said that will give me more midrange but it does't quire sound right. Im frustrated because now I have to run the microphone again and just was hoping to be done and fully satisfied with my system (sike) at least rest until the next fever comes along.
