My 35's seem tilted a bit toward the treble. I use an outboard EQ to bulk up the lower frequencies when using my active sub and they sound beautiful - open and full-sounding. The new 81II's seem more balanced but I love 'em both. Dave

Actually the 35's sound best when run full range on stands. Without a Xover and volume adjustment on the sub there's no way to roll off the upper bass frequencies.

That's great, RD! I haven't heard the B series, though.

My RB-81II's ports have cotton smothering the racetrack port but I don't detect any problems with the sound as both have plenty of good, tight bass.
