    Heresy wattage?

well, we have it hooked up to that Yamaha.. Anyone know anything about it?. My grandfather did alot of listening and research, the Heresys and the Yamaha is what he got, about 30 years ago.. I think It should be safe. We never turn it up past 1/2 way, thats just to darn loud. ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel
  3. Aha. I get it now But here is where I get confused I have a set of Klipsch Pro Medias. I use a Yconnector and hook both the Front and Rear channels into the Headphone jack on my Boom Box. Now the Boom Box ampliflys that signal for the Headphones, but then the Pro Medias amplify it to When I turn it up on the boom box it gets louder, when I turn it up on the Pro's it gets louder. So what is it doing? how does that work? I realy DONT get the amplification process. Someone please explain ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel

  6. HAHAHAHAHAHA those poor saps. HAHAHAHAHAHA Bose > Klipsch (Bose =greater than Klipsch) HAHAHAHAHAHA It is kinda sad though, but at the same time I cant help but to laugh at the people, that think Bose is a better buy than Klipsch. I also had NO idea that Klipsch was way up there in sales. Klipsch outsells JBL? Sony? Wtf!?!?!

What do I think? I think Paradigms are very good speakers. I think they are quite comparable to Klipsch. I would take the Paradigm Cinema over the Quintets any day. If I had to choose between the Monitor-9's or 7's and the RF-3's I would take the Monitors. I am not a big fan of the current refrence speakers. I like the good old Heritage speakers. I gotta have the Hi and Mid horns. but what does this meen : 2-driver, 2-way bass reflex. Quasi- 3rd order resistive port ? There is clearly more than 2 drivers.. there is 5. How is that only 2 way? And what the hell is a Quasi- 3rd order resistive port? ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel

  15. Might I ask, Why not 2 KSW-10's ? One for front, one for rear. Or both front. It would cost less, and would, I think, hit harder, no? You have a VERY schweet set up my friend. And I would have to agree with these other guys, the Heresys would be your best bet for front effects(next to the La Scalas) As for the Rear Center, no one else has given some input so heres mine. It seems to me another KLF-C7 would work well. Or maby the upcoming RC-7. You could always mount a Heresy up on the wall sidewayz (or upright, if enough room), that would be supurb. ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel

  20. Lets say I wanted to get 1 of these or something close for each speaker. Then get one of these . Have lets say the DVD player hooked into the MC7106, and each channel go out to one of the mc1000's. And the Speakers hooked into the mc1000's. This brings up quite a few questions, that I have realy been wondering lately. 1.) does the amplification multiply? If the 1st amp is putting out 50 watts, does the 2nd amp multiply that number by how much its amplifying it? How does that work? Approx how many watts would the Speakers be getting if each amp was turned all the way up. 2.) Would you loose quality? 3.) Is this similar to Bi Amping? 4.) Is that over kill? The first one is prety important, I realy kinda need to know that. ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel

    Overkill?

http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/xr290_-_2ch.html That just seems like Over Kill to me. 40 Drivers in 1 Setup. 200-1000 recomended power.. hehe. http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/McIntosh_Products/Two-Channel_Stereo/SL-6_-_2CH/sl-6_-_2ch.html Thats allittle more reasonable.. but geeze. 6 drivers.. for a 2 way system. How does this stuff compare to Klipsch? I've personaly never seen a Mcintosh speaker. Just theyer amps. ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel

    I am confused,

I still dont get the different nameings and why. On the specs for Klipsch speakers it has. Tweeter Midrange Woofer Subwoofer On the paradigm spec page.. they have High Freq (tweeter)drivers Subwoofer Drivers Midrange/bass Drivers Bass Drivers Whats the differences between Subwoofer Drivers Midrange/bass drivers and Bass drivers? ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel
  24. No.. you cant have to much power... dont believe me? as my school. For our Orchestra Talent show.. we used probobly 2 (saw one), 1500 watt Pennys. With only about 100 people. While they didnt have it turned up all the way ( because I wasnt there ) Thats ALOT of power for a talent show. But as pointed out by other people, it depends on you. Do you care about your hearing? IF you dont... then it probobly wouldnt bother you getting 5 K-Horns and pushing them to the MAX, and wanting more.... Can the speakers handle it? If so, push them, unless you value your hearing. As for your system Its safe. ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel
  25. Does it hurt to have 2 subwoofers adjacent to each other, in one box? I am thinking about taking the 10 inch woofers out of my Fishers, and making a box for them, and using them as a subwoofer. How can I keep alot of the Higher frequencys going to the woofers? I wanna have it recieve frequencys up to about 200. I will be replacing them with some 15's probobly. But the Fisher speaker BOX, is only like 13 inches wide. Should I make it down firing? and add some thing to the bottom? Or should I keep it pointing twards the audiance? Freq response is like 25hz to 2,000 hz ------------------ K6-2 450 SB Live Value ( not 5.1) Klipsch Pro Media v2 400 ( soon to be 4.1 ) 2 Fisher STV-873's on front channel 2 Fisher surrounds on rear channel
