This Pioneer looks interesting. At the top of your price. I have aPioneer Elite DVD player that is at least 15 years old tha is still going strong and gets daily use as my cd transport.
Sorry didn't see way under 1k......still looks interesting....
And one more......http://www.sonypremiumhome.com/4K-Blu-ray/UBPX1000ES.php
I still have my DV -59 AVI from 2004 that still works perfect.

I would have kept it if i could have found a local shop and kept it around $150. But with shipping both ways it adds up. The Pioneer Elite SC61 AVR sounds very good with what i have now.
One day a pair of RF7ll's may pop up local.

Nice meeting you again. Hope the AMP can be used and not be a paper weight.

I don't know how to PM you. Send me a PM. Not sure what to ask for it as i don't know what is wrong with it. I knew we traded amps back in 2013.

I get it, cost effectiveness. If you decide to sell let me know.
Give @Youthman a shout. I think he has used someone local to him in Plant City to repair a few things.
Bill
I will be at the Outback in Planty city this Sunday around 8am. Our Corvette club meets there for a crusie and we leave at 9am. I just don't see needed a amp anymore so i will sell it if someone wants it.

When I had a Rotel amp, one of the 2 channels went quiet. I read that it had fuses inside. took a screw driver to the 8 screws and took off the top. Inside, there were 2 fuses for each channel. pried the two off from the dead channel and saw that one was blown. Took it to Radio Shack, when it still existed, showed it to the guy, and he found the exact replacement. I think it cost a dollar. Popped the new fuse in and it worked fine ever after. It was my first amp fix and as of yet, my last. I found a pic of the inside of an Acurus A250, with the top off. If you zoom in a bit you will see the fuses on each side for the two channels. Of course, I'm not saying there can't be other underlying issues, but it might be worth a try, for fun.
I may get the shock of my life. I just don't touch stuff like this.

Those are the guys I will use if my Acurus amps take a dump. Very reasonable price at $150.00 for A100X3.
Bill
I hope that is a local shop. By the time i paid shipping both ways and for the work i just as well throw it out and buy something else or sell it cheap local. I really don't think i need that amp with my Paradigm Studio 60V5's. My Pioneer Elite SC61 seems to be just as good as the amp was. If i can find a local place to work on it then maybe i will fix it.
-
Just hooked the speakers back up to the AVR and can't really hear a change from the amp. Not the type to tear into stuff like this and not sure what i will do with the amp. Don't know of anyone that works on them.
-
Got a new sub and ran a recal and the right speaker was dead. So i wonder how long it has been out as i sure never noticed it was not working.
-
My right speaker went dead. Switched speakers and cables so it is not the speakers or cable. I wonder if i lost the right channel on my Acrus 3x 200 amp? I guess they can go out? Or i wonder if the pre out on the AVR went bad?
-
I can see maybe $800 smackers max.

Charles,
Have you been sleeping for the past 3 weeks or so?
Some pretty crazy news considering how well received they are. Crazy "marked up" prices on Ebay right now. Oppo is considering another run on the 205's before final bow out.
I love my 105.
Bill
Been busy buying scopes and stuff like crazy. Really did not need the 203 but got one just in case.
-
Just got a 203. OPPO is done with the BD and UHD players.
-
They won't fit in my Vette.
-
Love to give it a try but so big and so far away.
-
JTR 18" will do the trick and is what i would own if i had the room.
-
This why i only buy local. Plus shipping speakers is taking a risk anyways. I have done around 10,000 telescopes and parts deals since the 70's and have been lucky and never got taken. But with other stuff it is risky.
-
I would love to try em out but i don't think i could spend 7k smackers on any speakers.
-
A used SVS SB2000 should do the trick or a ported version.

What plasma panel did you have?
Had any problem with image burn in? I've read that it can be an issue with oled.
I had a 60vt60. Also had a 5020 Kuro. The OLED is like having my Kuro back but 15" bigger.

Blu-ray and DVD's, 65" 4K Tv but never tried anything 4K, but it does upconvert for a better picture and does seem to help.
6.1 and no intention to improve anything in sight, for now. To us the picture looks great especially in BR, and the sound is amazing.
Don't try 4k then as you will never wanna go back to 1080P.

I have both in my bedroom and only use them to play normal BD's. Other than playing 4K the 103 is just as good as the 203.
