  1. I have an ati radeon, 64ddr, it has vivo and its pretty nice. If i were to get a card i would save for a while and get a geforce 3. No wait, actually i would wait for the next version of the geforce 3, like the geforce 3 ultra or somethin,, then id get the normal geforce 3 at a much cheaper price.

  2. Im planning on purchasing the 4.1's in a few days and im sure they will sound great. I have never heard the v.2-400's so i cannot compare them, but i know i will be happy. I was hung up about this 5.1 buisness but i have discovered that the 4.1's are better for computer use because of the phantom center channel. I am going to be using the set for computer games, mp3's, cd's, mini disk player, my tv and dvd's from my computer. A 5.1 solution would be nice but i would have to buy a 5.1 card so it would be to pricy for me. But i have a feeling that the 5.1's comming out are not promedias and not meant for the computer, i think they might be a HT microsytem like the quintets. I dont know this but that what i think.

  3. Thats a really good idea. but my bro does'nt have a good HT system, he doesn't have one at all. Thats becuase hes 19 and im 17. I am going to be using the pros as my stero, gaming, and ht speakers. I might even rig them to my tv. So a 5th channel might be nice.

  4. People are spreading rumours of some 5.1 speakers that will be released june 1st. I , and many others must know if this is fact or fiction. I am purchasing the 4.1's in a few days and i dont wanna get jipped cause of the 5.1's coming out shortly after i buy the 4.1's.

Kinda like my friend buying a set of cambridge sound speakers a few weeks before the v.2-400's came outSmile.gif

  5. Ya im in a similar situation. Hmmm but i can get the 4.1's in 3 days! Damnit i really want them but if the 5.1's will be out soon i would definatly wait for them.

AMY could you please shed some light? im dying here. Im guessing that the 5.1's are either exactly like the 4.1's with an extra speaker, in which case the would'nt be too much more. Or they might be like a newer version of the quintets, then they would be damn expensive and i would ignore it and get the 4.1's.

for both our sakes someone please help out. thanks!

  6. Well ive been workin hard for the man, and ive got some money saved up. Im planning on buying the 4.1's in 3 days and im very excited. I have my pink noise mp3's and i think im suposed to play them at a low volume for a long time. Anyways i am very eager to hear these new speakers. What i have now are the altec lansing ACS45 speakers, i bought them about 3-4 years ago and they sound pretty good to me. I dont need to be sold on the klipsch speakers, ive read every review and followed this message board extensivly for the past 4 months or so. But after reading a recent post in reference to the 5.1 speakers that might be released in the near future, i have had doubts. I would rather have 5.1, bu t if the price is a lot higher i would just get the 4.1's. I realize that this could have just been a rumour made up by some guy but if its a possibility i would like some more info. If i were to get the 4.1's in a couple days then have the 5.1's come out a month later for only a little bit more i would be royaly pissed. But i am almosts positive that the 5.1's would not come out for a year or more. It would be utterly stupid to release them a couple months after the 4.1's, everyone who bought the 4.1's would be pissed and feel totaly ripped off. So if anyone would care to respond to my excessive rantings i would greatly apriciate it.

    thanks!

  7. Well thats great! I was planning on buying the 4.1's mid june, but if there will be 5.1's out i will definatly wait for them. That is the only downfall i can see about the 4.1's is that they're not 5.1. So for dvds and such they do not support 5.1. Anyone know a rough cost? The 4.1's are damn expensive in Canada, $479. I cant go too much higher.

  8. Congress Adds 'All Your Base Are Belong To Us' Amendment To Bankruptcy Bill

WASHINGTON, DC-- Seeking to increase fiscal accountability among citizens who have no chance to survive make their time, the House of Representatives added an "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" amendment Monday to H.R. 333, the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2001. "What you say!!!" shouted the bill's sponsor, Rep. George Gekas (R-PA), following the amendment's approval. "This bill will not only make debt-ridden Americans more accountable, but it has the added benefit of taking off every 'zig' for great justice." Opponents of the amendment protested that it would potentially set up U.S. the bomb.

  9. haha, well the funny thing is the superorb is the quietest fan you can buy, basically. So if its too loud youd better go with no fan at all.

its rated at around 30 decibels, and the fop38 is rated at 45 decibels,

i know it does'nt cool all that well but it cools a lot better than the generic fan that comes with the cpu, and its the quietest one i can find. soo.. blah

  10. well tomorrow im putting the down payment on this baby, its complete!

  11. Hmmm. do you really think i should go with the DDR ram? Its double for half the ram, would 128megs of that ddr ram be better than 256 megs of pc133?

    128M DDR-PC1600: 200mhz ECC $210

    256MB SDRAM PC 133 (Micron/Infineon) $110

And i was planning on getting the above cpu, but today i just saw they got a new one for only a little more, is it better or worse?

    Tbird K7-1200mhz CPU (200 bus) Socket-A $375

    Tbird K7-1200Mhz CPU (266 Bus) Revision-C Socket-A $400

    thanks again guys.

  12. lol, i know im not dumb. I will probably crack open the case and see how things are setup "make sure they put my fans in the right way!". The slim superorb is rated at 34 decibels, i dont really know much about decibels but i dont think thats too loud, and there will be a case over that. I am ordering the computer and putting a dowm payment on it this saturday, then picking it up 1 week later. So ive basically got everythign figured out. I just have to make sure klipsch sends the 4.1's to London Drugs so i can get a pair. Damn i really want those.
