  1. Thanks for posting pics of your new LSII's. They are some of the most beautiful speakers Klipsch makes.
  2. Mdud, Please post some pictures of your new LSII's. They are beautiful speakers and I can only find a handful of photos of LSII's online.
  3. The Topping TP60 is one of the ones I have been looking at..everything I read about it is highly positive. They have a new DAC as well, the D3 that seems to get really sound reviews that I thought i might pair with it. Its around $200 as well though and might be a overkill I suppose since most of my music is CD quality and not lossless
  4. Heres a pic I found online of the LSII with the back off
  5. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience using a tripath t-amp with RF-83s and or Klipschorns? If so, what was your experience? I read they sound very tube like and the cost is very affordable. One thing im uncertain of is how much power I should be looking at. They have models that have approx 15w per channel all the way up to 60w per channel. I listen to mainly cd quality audio from my laptop/ipad and like a fair amount fo volume. The RF-83s were used in a home theater setup powered by a Onkyo receiver but I sold that along with the center channel and surrounds. The Klipschorns are my fathers that im storing but do have them setup in corners in a extra bedroom thats about 15x15. Ive been looking at a brand called Topping audio but it appears all the tripath amps out there probably use the same if not similar internals. Anyone have any experience with Tripaths here?
  6. Thank you my friend. Good information. I do like the look of the 2-piece LSII so have been planning to do it in two sections. From what I read the 1" thick walls will be a nice improvement in sound. Thanks again Mustang Guy
  7. Hi everyone, I recently picked up a pair of 1987 La Scala I speakers locally. They sound great but a few years ago they were in a flooded basement and the plywood is splitting pretty badly around the bottom and seperating probably beyond repair I would say. The woofers do not appear to have gotten wet at any point though. My uncle owns a high-end kitchen cabinet shop here and said we can rebuild the cabinets no problem. Ive found plenty of blueprints and measurements for the La scala I design but love the way the La scala II cabinets look. I am aware the La scala II cabinet is 1" thick vs 3/4" like my La scala I's are but my uncle said he can get 1" material in HDF or Birch ply and veneer it. Does anyone here have a set of plans for the La scala II cabinet or know the measurements of the two seperate top and bottom cabinets of the La scala II? It would be much appreicated. Also im reading the crossovers are different but would like to upgrade these older crossovers anyhow so was gonna try to either order a pair of La scala II crossovers from klipsch or buy some aftermarket ones that would suit the new cabinets. Thanks for any input. I love the speakers but cant wait to have them not just sounding good but looking good too.
