  1. Looks great Youth! Like it's floating, very cool! I was about to ask you about M&C, really excited to hear what you think.
  2. Completely agree with wuzz. Move the couch up, snag a pair of RS-42/52/62's and BOOM! You're 5.1 room is done. Your front soundstage looks great!
  3. Maybe some pics of the current set-up would help. I have a tough time visualizing sometimes.
  4. I don't know how many children you have, but I'd imagine you lost the first one when you picked up that Sunfire amp! Man, I bet that sounds amazing! It probably weighs more that your first born child ever could!!! PS- I second what everyone has said, monoprice is the way to go. I use 12awg in my house, and it's probably a bit of overkill (but isn't that the name of the game!).
  5. Sounds like you have a dedicated room, maybe pull your couch up and place something on the wall your couch was on. Don't know if that possible, but maybe an option. If it's a dedicated "theater" room then who cares what it looks like, it's how it sounds and how the picture looks. All our furniture looks the same when the lights go down![] PS... I really like that front soundstage, I bet it sounds really good!
  6. Yeah, good point. At 60lbs+ shipping weight, I can see how that might be an issue. My problem with the 805 is the depth of it, I'd have to do some serious tweeking (cutting) to the old lady's Amish entertainment center to get it to fit. She's already just about had it after the 12/hr one-way roadtrip to get my 82's, 64, and RT-10d. Plus, I'm finally getting the Integra tweeked the way I want it, I'll probably just stick with it. So, for you, the search goes on. I will keep my eye out for any really good deals I see. In the mean time, GOOD LUCK!!! And, be patient. Jrod
  7. smokarz, Why haven't you jumped on Inventor's 805? Size? You not like Onkyo's?
  8. Yamaha, IMHO. Take it for what it's worth. Just be patient and find a good deal on it! If you do go with the Denon, check this out... http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?miscrcvr&1269017698&/Denon-Avr1910-all-models-on-sa You'd probably get it in the low 400's with shipping.
  9. If you're looking for a KV-2, there is one near St.Louis. I don't know the seller, just givin' you a heads-up! Good price. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/1567179921.html
  10. Nice Youth! Good price too! Let me know what you think about it after you watch it. 1st canon battle The storm Two sick scenes.
  11. Thanks DU! It really is a great movie. Blu, your 82's can handle quite a bit. Give them some good, clean power and they can really sing. I was affraid the 64 might over-power them, a few tweaks on the receiver and they actually match quite nicely. I certainly enjoy them!!
  12. Audiogon has a Def. Tech 1000 (a step up from the 800!) for $379! http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?homesubw&1269889699&/Definitive-Technology-ProSub-1
  13. HAHA! Blu, sorry my man, that's just the way it is with Master and Commander... It WILL become your new demo disc when people come to your house and you wanna show your Klipsch off, it's that good. The first canon battle... WOW! Hey, if you're ever down Oklahoma City way, hit me up and we'll watch M&C and build stuff!
  14. Well, at least now you know! You can use that extra coin to get a really nice sub, orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, a really nice amp to drive those in-walls!!
  15. Youth, Get it as soon as possible! It really is worth it. Especially since you have those new rears coming. It easily has the best rear effects I've ever heard. You will NOT be disappointed! Jrod
  16. Fantastic story Youth!! And, obviously, I've said it many times... Fantastic room!
  17. Hey thanks, Blu! A few points... 1. Those are my Legos! I don't have any kids! Hahaha! My girlfriend and I are really kids at heart, our friends LOVE to play with them when they come over. It just gives your hands something to do, something to be creative with! We love them. (I know it's kinda weird but we're both 29yrs old so Legos are a real taste of our childhoods!) 2. As for the surrounds... Check my profile, just click on my name in the left column and click the link in my system profile. 3. The Integra close-up (and yes, it heats up!)
  18. Alex, That was exactly what I needed! Great review, very honest. I'm going to pull the trigger at some point, probably some time in the next 3-6 months. I've been upgrading quite a bit lately, I need to slow down for a bit. Your room sounds like it is killer. Thanks again for the help! Jrod
  19. The old lady gets something new...
  20. Nice! Be patient and scour Audiogon, ebay, etc... and find ya a good deal!! Good luck! Jrod
  21. Man, that sucks. Sorry dude. So, what's on the short list of potential replacements?
  22. Check monoprice.com (if you haven't already). Great site with cheap, well-made stuff. http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=109&cp_id=10828 ...almost all the way to the bottom. Good luck!
  23. I have a suggestion, take it or leave it. You might consider mounting the center below your Panny, as opposed to above. That way your drivers (left/center/right) will be closer aligned and give you a more seemless front sound stage. Just my humble opinion. As for mounting... I'm not going to be much help to you (I'm tool challenged). Maybe a simple shelf with two "L" brackets and a piece of wood painted black to match the speaker so it blends? I'm sure you've already thought of that. Can't help you with the rears, I have RB-15's (bookshelves) that sit on stands. Jrod
  24. Let me start this by saying, obviously I LOVE Klipsch stuff! However, you might want to branch out a little when looking into subs, especially in the $300-$400 range. My one suggestion would be for you to look into an Elemental Design sub. http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_41&products_id=407 http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_41&products_id=892 I've heard really good things about both of these subs, on this forum and else where. Now, all this said, I OWN a Klipsch sub and LOVE it. It, however, probably cost a little more than you are willing to spend. I hope in NO WAY, that you take any of the comments in a negative way. I had a piece of crap sub for a really long time before upgrading to my RT-10d. I'm truely just trying to help! Good luck with whatever you decide! Jrod
