  1. are you talking about selling the rf-7's? i wouldnt. there very hard to find, i would buy a pair in a heartbeat but theres none around.
  2. well i dont know if that question is directed towards me or not but i have both the 83's and cornwalls, so heres my 2 cents....... the cornwalls are stand alone when it comes to music, especially when paired with a nice amp. but on the other hand i have the 83's matched with 2 kw thx subs, and when they are playing at a decent volume they are great too, its just that the two produce a totally diffrent sound in my opinion. i have not tried the cornwalls for home theater, but i would amagine they would be good. but to answer the question, yes i agree that the cornwalls are better for music. they just present an overall bigger soundstage.
  3. i totally agree with you youthman. i love the modern, sleek, shiney look of my cherry rf-83's over the vintage look. no offense to you heritage people.
  4. ya i know. i have to decide where they are gonna stay for good. i always thought the whole heritage line was ugly, until i heard them, lol now i love them
  5. i forgot how much i loved music until i picked up these cornwalls. now i just need an amp for a more clearer sound. Cornwall 2's Integra DTR-80.1 Marantz cd player Onkyo ipod dock
  6. ya a doorstop would prob work. hey james, is that a song that your quoting at the bottom of your page? and did anyone see the movie dragon ball evolution? saw it on tv tonight and all i can say is wow.....the bass that movie puts out is insane. just thought id tell you all.
  7. thanks jrod, looks like you have a similar setup. sarah marshall is bangin, lol but i preffer the brunette in the movie.
  8. james, i just purchased an audio rack made by bush, it looks a little like yours. i like yours a little better though althogh it was more expensive, it looks very classy. does anyone have any ideas on something that will angle my center upwards without putting too much stress on the glass? right now im using cardboard, lol
  9. man if i only had the room that you do. are those some sort of a table and chairs set on the left and right? looks very cozy in there by the way youve only had your what for 2 weeks?
  10. wow, crappy picture. i need to play around with my camera, i know it can do way better than this.
  11. hey guys, i had alot of trouble finding a stand to fit my 64. i looked and looked and finally found one. but then i had to deal with watching it sit on the floor for 2 months while i waited for my stand to get here. it was a gamble. the specs on paper looked like it would fit but i wasnt tottally sure. but now its in and it sure did work. it also fit my huge receiver, and has plenty of breathing room too. just thought i would chime in for anyone that isnt a handyman and wants a stand that will fit the beast (rc-64) because we all know that a good stand for these is hard to find. by the way it is a bell'o avsc-2061e
  12. thanks, so if my rf-83's can handle just say 29hz and up, and i set them to 80hz that means anything from 0-80 will go to the sub correct? i have some pics posted in the home theater thread, but i got a new stand, rears, and sides, it looks way diff now. ill try to post this weekend. thanks for the help so far.
  13. i am looking for any advice on settings that will make my setup sound its best. i will admit that although it may look like i have a descent setup, i really have no clue what to set everything to. im sure that any one of you guys would have the house rockin, but im still kinda gettin my feet wet in this hobby. so anyone that can give me any advice that would be awesome. a few things i would like to do is send all or most of the bass to my subwoofers, instead of allowing the bigger speakers to handle it. is this the way to go? also in my receiver settings there is no small or large settings. it just asks me to select a cutoff frequency for each speaker. so i assume that any frequency below the number i choose will go right to the sub, so should i set them all to 100hz? also when i run the audessey it calibrates all of my speakers really low, so that i have to crank the volume to hear it. is it ok to add a couple Db to every speaker in an even fashion to make the overall sound louder? by the way my system consists of 2 Rf-83's, 2 Rf-63's, 2 Rs-62's, an Rc-64, 2 Kw-120 subs (and ka amp) and its all powered by an Integra Dtr-80.1 receiver. i hope that somebody is familiar with this receiver and can help, thanks
  14. hey guys, what forum should i go to to talk to someone about setting for my stuff. like frequencies and lfe levels ect.?
  15. looks great, what kind of sub is that? and where did you get the center channel stand?
  16. looks sick, i wish i had a dedicated room to build a real theater. you should be proud
  17. price is not an issue, i get a rediculous discount through my boss. im pretty set on the marantz i just wanted to make sure that it is up to par with all of the current formats and features. thanks for the input guys
  18. i am ready to purchase a receiver/seperates. i have done alot of homework and narrowed it down to a select few. the marants av-8003/mm8003 combo, the integra dtr-80.1, the onkyo tx-nr5007, the harman kardon avr-7550hd, or one of the top line denons. wich do you feel would be the best match/better sound quality for my ht? i have rf-83's and rc-64, 2 thx subs and rb-61's for rears. i watch mostly movies but still some music. now i know from the past that marantz makes good quality stuff so i know the sound quality will be great. therefore it is my #1 choice right now. but does it have all of the up to date features, inputs ect. like the integra does? also i think i read somewhere that marantz units do not upscale thier video or something with the processing? and that the anchor bay is not as good as some others ( dont know what anchor bay is for anyways) any help would be great, and opinions are just as good.....if i left a good choice out of my top 5 let me know.
  19. thanks for my response, and yes i know that direct mode only plays my fronts. also my receiver does not have the "small" and "large" option (i dont think) so what do i set the crossover on the speakers to? 80hz? wich is thx standards
  20. hello everyone. i have a few questions about what to set my speakers to from my receiver. i have read up on it a little bit, but still kinda confused. i have rf-83's for my fronts, an rc-52 for a center (for now), rsx-3's for rears and 2 Kw-120 subs. i wanted to know what to set the crossovers ect. to? i have an integra receiver so i can adjust each individual speaker. i do notice when i play music i do not get that much bass from the kw's so i would assume that something isnt right. i have heard these in the store and they can rattle a foundation, lol any help would be appreciated, thanks
  21. another new toy to play with over the holidays
  22. doa huh? thats no good. i dont know where you purchased it, but if it was directly through klipsch you should try to get something for free for your "inconvinience" lol its worth a try
  23. i like the design of your house, i wish i had a big room like that to work with. nice stuff, how do u like your RT-10d? have you heard the 12? im curious if its any diffrent
  24. discard my question about the hum noise. i figured out that it was the cable coming out of the wall. i guess i need some sort of a receptor to fix it. so anyone who runs into this problem down the road, you might wanna check this first and save a big headache. anyways i hooked up the 1 kw with the rest of my system and wow, its friggen crazy, i dont really need a second one(seeing as how pieces of drop ceiling coated everything within 10 feet of the sub) but itll be here in a day or so regardless. im almost thinking of just selling the set, my girl hates them, and in my opinion there just a lil too much for my place, and i only have 1 hooked up. so if anyone is local of 01464 let me know if your intrested, ill give ya a killer deal.............................. here are some pics i took before the earthquake, lol
