  1. Yeah mine get pretty hot too. What is it with the heat? Is the the cheap Malaysian parts inside? What gives? My old Harman Kardon Citation amp that puts out 200 watt per channel dont give off that much heat. Gross profit on these speakers must be incredible. Dont get me wrong. They sound great, but damn, should they be that hot ?? ?? ------------------ What is that tiny thing in my rear view mirror?
  2. quote: Originally posted by StevieRayDude: when playing dvds and games, a 4.1 system is ususally great. but a problem is that the speakers in the rear don't have the aid of a subwoofer, meaning any explosions, or other low end frequencies are lost in the rear, thus a helicopter fly-around is much less impresive. with a 4.2 system and the additional subwoofer placed in the back remedies the situation. also in games with the bass pumped up, you can feel people walk up behind you! if you got the cash go with 4.2 4.2's Rock! Hands down you cant beat it for the money! ------------------ What is that tiny thing in my rear view mirror?
  3. quote: Originally posted by VIV: LOL, did someone discover the 5.1's? Well actually I did, but that is not the reason for selling them. I need the money badly. Though the price stays at $250 firm. They are only about 4-5 months old. Bought direct from Klipsch during the 4.1 shortage and when they were offering the 4.2 setup. ------------------ What is that tiny thing in my rear view mirror?

  5. Yes! Just purchased mine from VSS Electronics!! http://store.yahoo.com/vss-electronics/rb-1.html $72.69 with ground shipping (anything else is more than you want to pay) Same exact thing as what Klipsch offers. No offense to Klipsch. But I need these so bad for the rear channel of my 4.2's.
  6. Very well done!! Impressive. Bravo!! Now just do one on the 4.2's!!! Pleasse.
  7. First off I would like to say technology never stands still. Why do you think what you have now is because engineers are always striving for more, better. It is invetible that there will be faster processors out. Better memory, hardware, etc. So I am tired of hearing... 'My computer is faster like yours!' Like small children. So lets say they never got faster, and you were wishing for a faster PC. And there was none. What would you do? Get a life? ;-) (like I have one, especially since I got my 4.2's) I am running dual p3's at 1ghz w/512 megs of ram and I am sure there is something faster right around the corner. But I went from a p2 300mhz w/128megs or ram. So it is a quantum leap for me. If your pc satisfys your needs. Then hell, or if you just want to have bragging rights. Chuck out a couple of grand every year.
  8. Go for overnight man!! It is worth the extra money. Well at least to me. It is the way I went on my 4.2's. They should be here anytime now!!
