  1. Ray Your description of the KG4 matches the listening style of my brother especially the "ROCK OUT". I'm the opposite so maybe a change will be good for me. It looks like I'll be making some arrangements to get them to CO. Doug, I'll keep you in mind if these don't work out for me. But what about the Cornwalls? Are they too big for a 10x16 listening room?--Stephen
  2. Doug Thanks for the info. I should also say I have a pair of Vandersteen 1Bs (not very efficient) that sound very warm which I enjoy with with female jazz vocals. If the KG4's are similar I might indulge myself. By the way I might have to only pay shipping for the speakers since they are just sitting in my brothers garage and he want more room.--Stephen
  3. First a little background. I'm currently using a Decware Zen amp with my '83 Heresey's. I like the sound but not much bottom end. My listening room is about 10x16 ft. I have the opportunity to get some KG4's new in the box. Would this be an improvement (upgrade) over the Heresy's? I'm Colorado and the speakers are in Florida so I can't audition them. What are the specs and dimensions of the KG4's? Do they need stands? I also have the choice of some Cornwalls (mid-80's). But since they are in Florida shipping might be outrageous and they probably won't fit and sound good in my room. What do you think? Thanks in advance.--Stephen
  4. I have a pair of '81 Heresy's that work well with my Decware Zen amp. Because the speakers are effecient enough for the amp I can acheive ample sound levels without clipping the amp. The sound is very detailed but is lacking some bass. I'm experimenting with different wires to acquire the sound I like but overall I'm very satisfied. By the way, if anybody is interested I found a pair of LaSacalas for sale in the newspaper. The owner says they are in good shape and is asking $700.00. E-mail me for his phone #. Denver, CO area
