No you shouldn't should be covered. You can 1-800-Klipsch to find out what to do.

You can see if the apple store will take it back and give you a new set since it hasn't been 30 days yet. Our it covered from Klipsch for 2 years from the day of purchase. What the warranty don't cover is if the wire split or breaks. Read in the instruction booklet that came with the headphone on how to file for a warranty clam.

Thanks for the replys. I will give them a call, but proably half to send it in. They can tell me how to get the subwoofer out, but i don't have the stuff to seal it back up and don't want to damage the subwoofer in the process. Also the thread have to be retached somehow.

Can I still send it back to Klipsch to have it fixed, or do I half to have it under warranty to only have them look at it?

It's a torx screw with machine theads and metal thread on the inside of the subwoofer look like there held in with some kind of silcon glue. I just think it sucked that one nut came on done, the rest where fine. But it was my fault to loosen it, should have just tighten them and be done with it. I won't mess with it guess I half to take it to a speaker shop or if I can ship it back to Klipsch to have it fixed. It's fairly new woofer only had it little over 2 years. Thanks Jay for your help.

Oh, no the volume was in the same place. Everything seem fine now that I know how it works. What I need to know is how to get woofer off so I can fix that screw hole where thread fell inside. Thanks for your help.

Jay481985 if your talking about the frequency knob, which is the only knob on the back of the subwoofer, that I can think of. The frequency knob not in use for me on my sub since I have the low pass switch disable. So the other advice I was given, I think was a legitimate reason of what the problem might be. Thanks for the reply.

I check the screws on the active subwoofer and where tight, the only screw on the back of the sub that where not tight where the screws around the switches, knob and plug section, so tighten all those up. The passive subwoofer, I took the screws out to see if I can remove it. but it seal on there tight. So i put the screws back in, but one screw wouldn't screw back in kept feeling like it was starting to cross thread so I pulled it back out push the screw back in and the thread insert fell inside the subwoofer, don't know why guess it was loose and that why it wouldn't thread back in the right way. Wish I would have just tighten them and left it alone now I have one hole with no screw. Not sure how to get that passive subwoofer out to fix it. Just my luck, I have bad luck.

Ok Thanks for the explanation. But how do you fix the air leak, is there some kind of seal you half to buy?

No I haven't check for air leaks with smoke or powder marker. How do you go about doing this? I thought passive subs work off the receiver, but combine with the active not sure how the passive works in this situation. If there is a air leak, how do you fix that? Thanks for your help.

Thanks Noah for the reply and Happy New Years. So that the only problem it could be? Is there anything else that could cause this problem?

    RSW-12

Yes I have a RSW-12, and lately I noticed that the sub wasn't hitting as hard as usually. Seem to me that the front sub not hitting. Since the front sub is passive, does it mean it something with my amp or is it the sub. I know the rear sub active and runs off the amp in the sub, but sure how the front sub works since it passive. I just want to make sure it my sub before I take it in for service. Happy Holiday to everyone and thanks for anyone response.
