My Palladiums are not bright enough. How the hell would you get the crossovers out of those things?????
are they attached to the terminal cap like a 7 is ? or a board like the Heritage ?
If a board then it's take a woofer out 1st then .

And I thought I was too direct for my own good sometimes
I'm prone Not to beat around the bush I guess , I've always felt it's best for everyone involved by being direct & honest .
I try hard to be polite but direct up front .
saves a wad of grief down the road

Myself , if a bad job was done I'd tell that someone they did a bad job it being free or otherwiseIf someone shovels my driveway for free and does a bad job. I'm definitely not going to say it was a bad job.
Mike your saying you would tell someone who did you a favor that he did a bad job? So you wake up one morning and the neighbor shoveled out part of your driveway. But he did a bad job and you had to do 75% of it over. You would tell him he did a bad job? I couldn't do it no way
I would thank him for his effort & then I would polity ask he not do it again , explaining why . If Dean were to make me a XO & I didn't like the work , I feel it's best to tell him . So if he charged me OR gave it to me free that would have no bearing on how I feel , I feel it is my obligation that he knows I was not happy with the XO & then explain my reasoning to Dean in hopes that a solution could be found .
I handle all my interactions this way with everyone (only exception being the mother-in-law's cooking )

with R/H's logic if you post your biased ? ?
Youthman I don't agree you all the time but you're a straight shooter & I trust that you say it as you see it oR hear it as this case maybe .
post your thoughts , I feel I know your views after 11,000 posts well enough to cut thru any perceived bias .

OMG they put a stent in your Johnson ? ? ?

dtel I'd say you have a self trained ear through years of listening on your Klipsch

+1 Dean on the above post ,
I feel that there are persons who have a trained ear , much like a Symphony Conductor who with a life long of leading a orchestra can tell exactly which one of his musicians is playing outta time or is not hitting his notes correctly .
I'm always amazed at the birders that can tell the different song birds apart to my untrained ear the birds mostly sound the same .
training & experience refines one's perception , there is no measuring that can differentiate a person with a higher perception over another .

might take some time for the new items on the XO to break in some what . I've let some music run 24/7 at a low level to hasten that on things that I had recapped didn't take long at all for things to improve some what

PiX OR It Never Happened !

I'm all for custom networks , I've got 4 from ALK for my CS-1.5 (sized only) cabs with Eliptac-400's as the horn(B&C DE750TN-16 driver) & Crites 12" woofs
been lurking on this thread from the start , I'd love to hear the DeanG project network's in set of 7II's

I think there's something wrong with your system.
Na led zep is a party band. They didn't live in the studio when they made an album. Im sure they may say they worked hard but you can hear it. I guess we will agree to disagree
Led Zep is re-issuing it's 1st few albums with Jimmy Page remastering the tracks , so I would expect the 'New' tracks to sound better
BUT I agree with Dean something is 'off' with your system . Or it could be they were before yer time L O L

we must quickly reclaim the integrity of this thread with some 70's sex appeal.
that was the 'Good Ole Days ' when Klipsch really was Klipsch

A fart normally precedes a threadcrap.
but a fart lingers on after the thread crap is gone !

The cornwall 1's have the woofer mounted pretty close to the bottom of the cabinet. If i were to go 2-way with the HF driver and horn mounted on top of the cornwall cabinet (rather than removing the original drivers/horns and creating a new motorboard, compensating for the cabinet internal volume, etc) would I be introducing time alignment issues?
That faital driver and tractrix horn used by Bob in his type D cornscala has always interested me, but i don't want to perform major surgery on the cornwalls.
i do that with Dave's Eliptrac 400 & a B&C DE750TN-16 as a 2 way ALK AP12-500 network on top as well
I left the redid CornScala build with Crites PH-800 horn & Ct-125 in place but not wired up on set of 4 '73 Cornnies seems to be fine
this tempo set-up will work till I build new cabs once I'm done adding machines & the shop remodeling

for $700.oo that is a deal , they can be re-veneered later down the road
-
Those are Butt Ugly
-
Yeah ,
those ATI's are great !
-
sand bag on the horn will work as well ,
less messy than that sticky stuff

sanding veneer is almost always a bad idea try using a stripper &/or reconditioner to pull the spot out

my power conditioner actually helped reduce signal noise so yes SQ was inproved
& my display PQ slightly improved as well
I also no longer notice when the refer kicks on , vacuum ,blender , power tools used that sorta thing
my line current would flux as well , mine keeps it at 120
I have a APC 15 which basicily just a HUGE Toridial transformer
