Well I finally got a chance to post my cl find (thanks youthaman!)
They are a mahogany finish, and are very sexy! I love to look at them necked, that black and mahogany!!!
I got these from the original owner, who still has another pair he uses everyday with his tube!
Other then the loose motorboard and rear board issue (ive already fixed one) I think I got a hell of a deal!

When my wife see's me on my phone on this forum, she shakes her head and says "GET OUT OF THE GARAGE SECTION!"
Well what can I say, Ive always wanted to upgrade/try/test/trade/switch/oh ive always wanted a.......!!
At least its not crack im addicted to!

I would love to see this one and actually touch it. Wonder how its built, hope not like my old sub12 was. I hope Klipsch did this one right!
-
hear this when i pump it up in base heavy scenes....it rattles a bit and it's inside the sub...nothing when i shake the sub though
First i thought it was shaking something surrounding it but when I eliminated that it was still there....watching the openings scene of the last Harry Potter part 2 and something inside the sub like near the cone seems to rattle - am talking heavy base when the cone really pops out
What could be wrong with it?
The next time that base pops out, catch it and fry er up, sum good eating is to be has with base.

You're probably over-taxing the sub. You should decrease the gain on the sub so as not to damage it. If you want to feel the bass, upgrade or add a second one. There's only so much bass that an SW-112 can put out. Stacking two of these will greatly increase your bass performance and decrease the liklihood of any damage to the unit.
Man I hate being over-taxed, really chaffs my wallet.

Have you experience in placing it in the center? I think for now its fine on the left, next to the couch.
-
I am thinking of placing the sub right under the center, then getting a a/v rack to place all of the equipment to the left, where the sub is now.
Ever done a sub crawl?
Maybe I need to post more pics, since I only have 2 options to place that huge sub! This is why I can't wait to move!

Well the house has too many issues I didn't see before, so we are going to drop it. What were you going to say CECCA850? My sub placement?
Sorry about the house.
I'm not quite sure what you're asking in the second statement. Sorry. I'm sure I missed something.
I figured by you asking when I move, you were referring to my less then ideal placement for my sub.

How long till you move?
Man I hate how this site cuts off the image! I move out in about a month, if inspection passes on the house.
Good luck with the inspection. Moving is very exciting AND a ton of work.

Carl,
Nice looking setup! Love how clean it looks. You wana explain how you have those subs setup? Very interested.
-
Well for now one is playing center, while the other is stored. When I move is when they will possibly play rears. Unless I find another pair and make these my bedroom set!
