  2. Awesome receiver in near perfect shape.  Comes with remote and cal mic.  I think i have the antenna too.  $350 for local pickup.  I do not blast my system so i am downgrading.  I have a philips 4k blu-ray player with two hdmi out that i could throw in for $125

Looks sharp too.  I bet 4 of these would give you a good response for less than a grand.

I have cherry reference ii (not rf-7) and the dark apple matches almost perfectly.  I have had a svs sb-12nsd and a klipsch r-112sw (among other subs) all around the same time.  These stand toe to toe with those.  I have had some trouble with my ears so i can not push them but had friends over and they were very impressed with the bass at 65% watching evil dead.  I have two of these, no need to hook up both.  They do not have great resale is the only downside.

You can send it through the receiver just use pass through and no image processing in the receiver.  It wont make the image worse.  Many use processing in receivers to upscale....you dont need it.  Your tv will do its own.  So put through hdmi but find setting in receiver to use pass through no processing.

I am not sure this is an option to retain full 4k as my receiver does not have the proper hdmi classification for this.  As to the other person who metioned optical.  Yes, this is what i will have to do if there is not alternative, i will be missing out on high definition sound then though.

  5. I picked up the RF-62ii and they look perfect.  I was slightly concerned there was a tonal difference in one from the other so i reached out to some local forum members and jimjimbo not only came to my house to listen, but brought me a klipsch heritage t-shirt.  Nice guy.  We came to the conclusion that i am a bit crazy and that the speakers are playing fine!   Now i have to go listen to his extensive heritage collection sometime!  Thanks again Jim

  6. I am moving into a new house and would really rather not mount anything on the wall as of right now either :-/ i am getting the rf-62ii for $350 in perfect shape.  I can always use them in a bedroom.  I am in northwest IN too, do you have anything for sale :P

  7. I currently have a pair of RF-82ii, a pair of RF-35 and a RC-35.  I think the RF-35 sounds better but it is not a big difference.  I have a chance to get a pair of RF-62ii for not an unreasonable pric locally.  I prefer not to hang speakers on my wall.  Would it be a big sacrifice to use these as surrounds?  The tweeter would sit a bit low.  I could get a pair of rs-35s locally but they are a little beat up where the RF-82ii and rf-62ii are in perfect shape but i will have to buy a rc-62ii

  8. I have a sc-77 pioneer elite. It does not do 4k@60 i believe. I plan to take advantage of blu-ray players dual hdmi output when the day comes to buy one.

Just one thing to keep in mind is you also need a TV that has HDCP 2.2 or the player (Assuming your talking about the Samsung UBD-K8500 since that's the only one out) will not work with it. My friend had to learn that the hard way.

I think i am okay, have the vizio p602ui-b3
  9. I am hoping that other blu-ray players they come out with have this dual hdmi out! It will reallymsave me a wad of cash as i just purchased a Pioneer Elite SC-77. Also, is that j9500 an HDR set and does this blu-ray player output HDR? I think any 4k tv with the proper hdmi 2.0 hdcp 2.2 connection would benefit from this player. Looking forward to getting one for my p602ui-b3

  10. I have a set of rf-7's, a set of rf-5 I I, rc-3 center, a set of rs-3 I I ,a pair of ksw-12's and a r-115sw. I have a denon avr 2803 which is about 10 yrs old and need help figuring out out what kind of receiver to get to power everything. Keep in mind even though I'm 49 I just started this hobby wich I've fallen in love with

sent you a pm with a good deal on a "Pioneer Elite" receiver

  11. I picked up the speakers and did a quick comparison.  The 7II's are a bit smoother and tad better in the midrange.  I could easily keep either speaker, the 7 or 7 II's.  They are slightly different  but, both have an outstanding presentation IMHO.  More on this later with a fun treat about the trip to get the speakers. :D

i am not far from you, those speakers were tempting and a steal at $800. Congrats

  12. I researched the 65" 4K's a month ago and the best price was a Vizio 65" D series for 1K.  Nine hundred looks even better.

I have owned a non-smart TV Panny 55" 1080p for 6 years.  It has had some minor electrical issues and it lacks a few modern bells and whistles but it has been a solid performer.

i would skip the vizio D model and go for the M if you care about picture auality at all
  13. I do have dry wall spackle. What about just getting sone screws and putting them in? seems this might be easiest. I am just looking to eliminate any sound issues as the paint is already chipped on another two corners i am not too worried about looks
