  1. I'd also say it depends on how far you jump in to the reference line.
  2. The rt-10d and rt-12d although great subs were expensive. I got a rt-12d for a great price but would go for something else if I had to pay much more. It's a great sub with a small footprint for how well it performs. Not sure about the RSW-15.

    5.1 or 7.1

What size room. A 7.1 system using Dolby Pro Logic 2x helps more in ambience and panning but only if it is setup right. In scenes where their is a lot of ambient rainfall, you're insise a submarine, or their is a lot of panning from front to rear and vis versa 7.1 shines but you need the correct room size and setup for it to do so. The type of speakers also makes a difference.
  4. I agree. The RF7's are why I almost didn't consider the RF-83's. Klipsch did something to really smooth out the response on them compared to some past Reference speakers and even the newer 82's. When I heard them a/b'd with a set of Paradigm Signature S-8's I kept on getting them confused thinking the S-8's were the Klipsch because they were brighter and harsher because of past experience with some Klipshc speakers.
