  1. Lowthers sold, The rest sold pending pick up Sunday. Thanks All!
  2. Not sure if my image gallery was very visible in the previous post full in depth high res photos on the speakers here. Oris 150 - Album on Imgur
  3. What does this have to do with my for sale thread? Also I PM'd you back.
  4. Photos of the speakers themselves https://imgur.com/gallery/LCYeLaW Photo of the right lowther foam and a one of the pm4a removed.
  5. Not too often, sadly I don't have a truck to transport these. Received I'll give your a ring tomorrow.
  6. I have an Oris 150 system I wish to sell. Oris 150 horns finished in a gun metal gray,BD-design Vifa Onken bass cabs painted black, Lowther PM4a with the early Oris long metal phase plugs. Issues: The right pm4a foam has torn, given the age of these drivers(late 90s) it would be prudent to re-foam them both or Exchange/Upgrade to Lowther. The Onkens both work and sound perfect, however the dust caps have dents, should be an easy correction with vacuum or tape, but they did not seem to affect measured or subjective performance so I never bothered. Some scratches on the cabinet paint. The Oris 150 have some scuffs and a few small paint chips on the left horn, no physical damage, should be a fairly easy touch up if you wanted. I am located 90 min from NYC and Philly, 18045. Looking for $1500 with the Lowthers, $750 without. Would also be interested in a trade for pair of Klipsch heritage speakers. I will take and update with photos on my day off tomorrow(6/21/18). If you would like my trader feedback I can provide links.
  7. I just wanted to give a big thanks to @ClaudeJ1 for having me over to give his system a listen this week. In a word, WOW. In many more words Synergy/Unity horns really are something else. Some of the strongest locked centered image I have ever heard in a speaker, extremely precise 3d if the recording has it in it. It was a strong reminder of the low distortion and high dynamic sound of large format horns that I have been missing for a few years since selling my Jubscala. They play at a some of the same magic tricks in the midband that other point source speakers do like widebander/coaxial speakers while retaining that dynamic slam and speed of horns it's really something else. Claude's room was well set up and integrated I'm sure the entire surround system would have been WOW as well though we stuck to 2 ch+subs. Claude also shared some reference tracks with me as a well, and yes that Drum track is outright explosive. Thank you again for the opportunity to hear these wonderful speakers, it certainly gives me a lot to think about as to where I want to go system wise in the next few years.

  9. UPDATES: First off I am located in Saginaw, MI however I spent every other weekend in the Warren/Troy/Ferndale area so I'm not at all opposed to bringing gear down with me, if there are any people in SE Michigan looking. 1. Thorens TD-125 MKI, Grace G-707 arm, Shure V-15III with generic stylus from Carol's Needles. Great table keeps speed, I cleaned it up repaired the plinth, balanced the suspension, added a cork mat, new belt. I'm just not playing vinyl enough to justify keeping it anyone more. I keep the dust cover off it as it's original and pretty scratched up, but I have all the hardware together to put it back on if you desire. The Bad: The previous owner left putty on the head shell of the grace, in trying to remove the stian I ended up removing/smudging the entire grace lettering on the headshell. Also there is a small nick on the upper side of the on/off switch. On Hold/Sold for User ReckerTA Photo Gallery: http://imgur.com/a/gD0PU 2.
