  1. Greetings, Having *very* reluctantly sold my Cornwall IIIs due to move to a compact listening area (though fully open into 600-sf space), I'm investigating Heresy IIIs. The question is, gentlemen and ladies, whether Heresys are going to be OK with a listening distance of 6-7 feet. They will be on 16" stands near corners, 6-8' apart. They'll be driven by the 2008-edition of the class-A Musical Fidelity A1 amp--a match made in heaven with the Cornwalls! Thanks! Kristian Seattle
  2. Greetings, Please see my recent impressions and post-purchase follow-up here: http://www.audioasylum.com/cgi/vt.mpl?f=speakers&m=294758 . I'm thrilled with my Cornwall IIIs; there's a pair of mint walnuts on Audiogon right now, by the bye...
  3. 4tay: You will of course have to agree that none of your assertions carry any weight (other than in your mind) until the stock crossovers and caps have been measured and found to be deficient for their purposes. Saying things like "everyone who's done this agrees" carries zero weight. None. Father Klipsch would politely and quietly show you the Button--as he would with your assertion that tubeamps with their *plethora* of problems are somehow better. He breathed a big sigh of relief and stopped using tubes as soon as good SS amps arrived. If indeed the stock parts are measured and found deficient, as in improper levels of distortion or undesired crossovers frequencies and slopes, then we have something.
