  1. Ugh.... I'm not a fan of putting tv's on the speaker. I thought u planned on wall mounting it? I'm too paranoid that my speaker will get damaged.
  2. App? If your talking about running wires from those shelves on the side then maybe I can help. Pull down the crown moulding. Run wires behind your wall above the shelt to the ceiling. Run the wire behind where the moulding is. Then run from there to behind the tv. Completely invisible and easy to do.
  3. Cograts man. Only speaker upgrade that ever put an ear to ear smile on my face. You'll love it
  4. Just never turn your gear on. That way it won't have to "work" at all.
  5. Just purchased a pair of each cause the deal was too good to pass up. Anyone know anything about these or have reviews? I know the specs of course but just wondering what people think.
  6. I paid $2500 for my rf7ii front 3.... Add in the rs62's and the price is close
  7. Since a pair of RF-7ii is $3200, does that really change the overall equation significantly in favor of saying that the console is a horrible value? I only said Heresies as its the closest thing Klipsch has to a premium bookshelf at the moment without going to the Palladium line. Well I got my RF7ii's for $1700 brand new. So yes the equation does change IMO. Also your not getting a full RF7 set, it's more like a bookshelf version of yhe RF 7ii's. Heresies have nothing to do with it. So as I said before, the speaker you described is imaginary. As for value..... I can see that some people would put more value on a quality piece of furniture than others. Since we know alot about the speakers we can put a cash value on that part based on experience. What we don't know is the quality of the cabinet. I guess that could change the value tremendously. So I could agree that depending upon the cabinet quality then the value could be there.
  8. We are saying the same thing. I was just stating it different (perhaps only in my head). The Onkyo is not having to put out much power to the klipsch (cause the sensitivity) and thus tries to match that same out put in the sub. So to correct that you need to juice your subs up higher and your klipsch will be just "putting" along.
  9. Check again. It has two 10 inch woofers and two 1.75 inch tweeters from the Reference line and two 12 inch subs from the THX line. All six speakers have on-board amps and there is a pre-pro system in there to boot. Yeah I know. RF 7ii tweets and cones.... Not Heresies as he wrote.
  10. I can imagine that.... But that product your describing is just that, imaginary.
  11. If you just want to "feel" it and don't care about distortion then by all means buy it. If quality bass means anything to you then save up for a quality sub. Personal experience.
  12. Hate to be negative here but seems kinda lame to me at that price. $2500-$3500 sure but double that? Nope. Also not sure why you would want your center channel to have multiple tweeters and Subwoofers?
  13. It doesn't work like that. There's nothing being "stolen" from anything. It's just the DSP in the AVR trying to level the playing field and make everything work. The amplifiers inside the AVR and the speakers hooked to them don't know any different. In this case, the subwoofer is simply being asked to loaf along, while it should actually be working harder. That's the exact opposite of what's going on. Audyssy asks my speakers to loaf along at -12db.... Not my sub.
  14. I have listened to the rf7ii's and the rf62ii's. I heard the rf63's and rf82's. I wouldn't say one series is better than the other. The differences are mostly cosmetic. The drivers are different colors and shaped slightly different. The feet are very different and the grills are different. The front face of the speaker is also different. So if I had the 64 and 63's there is no way I would use the 62ii's as surrounds. Just too different visually for me.
  15. Six that it's turning out the way it is. Although I'm not surprised they can't get you the old rf62's. I would see about selling the new ones and buying a used set if the old 62's. Or sell the 63's and grab some 7's
  16. I would love to try it. But I don't know that builder and unless someone from the forum can vouch for them then I'm not taking a chance. As for building one from plans.... Don't think I could do that.
  17. The only thing stopping me from getting a THT kit is the price. Seems a little pricey for something I have to build myself.
  18. Your hd 500's will work great as surrounds. I used the hd300's as surrounds for a while myself. I also owned the f-3's as mains. I would opt for the c-30 as your center channel. It's a great speaker and will match. But honestly you can use your hd500 center channel for a while if you wanted to wait on the center channel upgrade. I used the hd300 as a center and didn't hate it.
  19. Your Denon will run those speakers fine. You won't "need" an external amp. I suggest you listen to it first before you upgrade and see if you still want to.
  20. I just want to know cause I will be shopping for a new bedroom avr soon. That will be on the must have list.
  21. I have my bedroom avr setup in a hidden cabinet behind a mirror so remotes won't operate it. I had planned on using my onkyo HT RC 180. However I ended up throwing my 509 in there until the 3008 came in for the HT. Well while the 509 was in there I noticed something cool. When I turn turn the tv on the 509 turns on automatically. Now I have no IR signal to the 509 (completely blocked). It also allows me to use the volume. When I did get a chance to move the HT rc 180 in it did not have the same capability. My question is this: What is the technology called that allows the remote to work through the HDMI cable?
  22. I recently sold an as new set of 62ii's for $550 and last week a perfect condition rc62ii sold for $350. Your price on a new set of the 82's is not bad though. Try acoustic sound design, $1378 but if you call and ask they'll give you 15% off that price.
