  1. They both sound quite similar, however i think you would have the edge with the RS as its horns and drivers are facing left and right to throw sound around the room. While i think the RF-62 would sound better as a speaker, the Rs would definitely do a better job as surrounds as their sweet spot is thrown in two directions.
  2. To be honset i would set it at about 60hz and let the sub do anything below that, if you set it any lower your fronts will be doing pretty much all of the work. While its not as good a sub as the Rf-62s are fronts, its still a decent sub and you should let it do its job...best thing to do would be try it at different x-overs and in different locations in your room and let your ears be the judge.
  3. IMO i think that the Denon would be a fine match for the speakers...as far as getting the RF-62iis, i would personally go for them and not because i think they sound better (not hugely better mind you) but in two years time would you prefer to have a two year old set of speakers or a 6 year old set of speakers. Get what you can afford now man and you wont regret it in the future. Also, it will be easier for you to add to your system in the future if you go with the newer models as you wont have to look for used reference speakers to match. Either way there both a fantastic set of speakers.
  4. i may be wrong here but surely crossover settings wouldnt have that much effect on dialogue unless it was at like 200, as no dialogue is really low enough to be effected by it?? Again, im prob wrong here but it just makes sense to me. Dan
  5. To be honest man i think matching B&W with a klipsch centre may be risky, while i personally dont think that Klipsch speakers are bright they may sound it in comparison to the B&Ws as theiy are horn loaded. Just my opinion. They are extremely clear in dialogue due to the horns aswell. I would definitely go for the 52s over the 42s as upgrade fever will only set in if you go for the 42s
  6. haha dont be put off by the shop man its the speakers that count Bit soul destroying that you wasted a lunch break though.
  7. HI Alex, I'm far from an audiofile but iv listened to both the wf 35s and the rf 82 iis and there is no comparison in sound. The RFs offered a much larger sound stage and deeper, richer bass. The WFs on the other hand are very nice to look at and have a much smaller footprint than the RFs but your room seems quite large so i wouldnt even consider the WF 35. As far as your receiver goes, it is plenty powerful as Klipsch speakers are extremely efficient. IMO i would go for the 82 iis or if you could pick up a used pair of RF-63s they would fill the room nicely. Dan
