  1. Has anyone fess'ed up to the deed? Noone mate! But as far as I'm concerned I just want my speaker up and running! I was so pissed up at the moment that I wanted to bring the whole floor down! Here in Croatia our standard is not big enough, that center speaker costed me one month sallary, round 900euros approx. 1200$. I just called my local Klipsch distributor and he told me that they hadn't been purchasing any Klipsch supplies from Nederlands (European Klipsch supply center) since my last order of RS-52 II because Europe is still in recession, especially Croatia, so for the people here those speakers are quite expensive. So I'm also a bit frustrated, not only that my speaker is streached but that I don't see a way getting that new driver for quite a while...
  2. It seems that there is no hole through it, as much as I can see. Do they produce new drives considering that RC-64 is discontinued product?
  3. I,ve a problem with my RC-64. I was away from home for about a week and when I came home two days ago I had really something to see. My center speaker is scratched. I'm talking here about the most right driver. Is there some way to fix this, or maybe to change driver? Does this have any impact on sound? I need all the help I can get here please. Thnx in advance!
  4. @Rippyman On the pictures of your wall plates, second picture from above there is a wall plate for the front speaker (red and black post), what is the third one used for, subwoofer?
  5. How much does these wall plates have an impact on the sound quality? I mean it's much better if the cable isn't discontinued, isn't it?
  6. I think jess28 that we have similar problem my room also isn't big enough like yours so you are exact person I needed advice from. I'll be going for 52 II ! Thanks so much! I'll save money for an amp and reciever!
  7. Hi, haven't been here for quite a bit... I need your help for purchasing my surrounds. As you already know I've purchased RF-63 and managed to grab last RC-64 from the store! I'm thinking between RS-52 II and RS-62 II, they have both in store, i know that 62 should be more compatible with the rest of the system but will 52 be still enough. The price for the 52 is around 900USD and for the 62 is 1300USD, so I'm actualy asking is 62 worth 400$ up in price?
  8. I haven't purchased reciever yet cos I'm still waiting for Onkyo 609 to come to store which I'll change for 709 when it comes out (estimated August). Now I'm interested for an outboard ampiflier for my front speakers. I was thinking of maybe Emotiva XPA-3 http://emotiva.com/xpa3.shtm for fronts and center or maybe Parasound HALO A23 http://www.parasound.com/halo/a23.php to power up only front two. Consider this that I live in Croatia and that if I chose to go for Emotiva that I would have to pay extreamly big duty taxes which is not the case for Parasound model which I can get in Croatia from official retail store for around 1500$. . What do you suggest?
  9. @Masika, why wouldn't you go for Onkyo? As for now things stand this way, I'm waiting for new Onkyo 609 to come to the store and made arrangement with seller to go for Onkyo 709 when it comes out, and when it does I'll pay difference for 709 and return 609, I think that is a good deal, beause I didn't want to wait August for 709 to come out (too long for my new Klipsch toys to wait ). As the metter of central speaker, I managed to grab last RC-64 which was in the store and I was so thrilled! The speaker is currently in onother store of the same firm here in Croatia. I'm so happy about it. One other thing, they said that they will lower me price for RS-42 quite a lot if i decide to go for it (cos I was previously planning to go for RS-62), so will this be a big mismatch or should I go for RS-42? When all this comes out and when I connect it I'll post some photos of my home theatre if you are interested?
  10. @cornfedksboy, I saw that in your 2nd system you have ONKYO TX-NR708, does this mean that you are dissatisfied with it when you are recommending 767 over it? And one more question, I realized that in the same price range with Onkyo 708 is Yamaha RX-V 1067. What would you suggest between this two? Just in case I decide to spend a bit more money for reciever...
  11. My decision is going to be between Yamaha RXV767 and Onkyo TX-NR708. I let down Onkyo TX-SR608 'cos it doesn't have preouts. So one last help from you guys before I decide which one. Yamy is priced 890USD and Onkyo 708 is priced 1150USD. Do You think that Onkyo is worth 260USD over Yamy? Please if someone could take a closer look to both their specs and give advice. I know that specs are not the most important thing to look for (if the recievers are similar) but considering that I do not have the possibility to listen to Yamy and then to Onkyo so I could compare them I'll need advice of you experts...
  12. One other thing, are HDMI 1,4a cables compatible with previous hdmi devices? I'm wondering if I'm going to buy HDMI 1.4a cable and connect my reciever to TV which doesn't have 1,4a input will it function like every other previous hdmi cable?
  13. The only thing that is alienating me from 708 over 608 is price, that's why I'm asking this. The 708 is over 400 USD more expensive than 608 here in Croatia. Price for 608 is around 750USD and for 708 is 1150USD... a bit to much bounce in price for my wallet, and I don't think that I'll ever take complet advantage of my RF-63 speakers due to room size and neighbourhood and family factor :-) . But if you say that 708 will make a bigger impact overall I'll try to menage something out ang go for it!
  14. Does Onkyo TX-SR 608 have enough power for Klipsch home theatre system (RF-63, RS-62 II, RC-64 + sub)? I'm asking this because it has more audio features than Yamaha RXV-767 but hasn't got preouts for aditional ampiflier! My decision has come up between theese two recievers in the end. Please help me out here :-)
