  1. IM TRYING TO GET A FAIR MARKET VALUE TO HAVE AN IDEAL WHAT TO SELL IT FOR. I REALLY WANT IT TO BE SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT INSTEAD WANTING TO PROFIT FROM IT. ALL RESPONCES ARE WELCOME. 2. Took a shitload of pictures and when the old ladys kidz come by I will let them do it . Not much on the computer..called KLIPSCH to find info , must have pequened someones interest because two people from klipsh called PQD Jim Hunter and Steve ? they also want pictures . Jim told me that the 1/2"plywood would be correct on the top part of the speaker. To think is was about to deconstruct it and rebuild with 3/4" makes me a little Quesy!m really xcited about this find. I bought my Cornwalls from a nephew of a klipsh engineer and PK singed both of them. To have another piece of history is awsome. Will keep info coming as I get it . Thanx for the responces, is great to be able to share this find with peeps that as I say "GET IT" ! Anyone out there that thinks I should go to the casino or buy lottery tics!! LOL!!
  3. Upon farther inspection of the cabinets and components it looks like I have a 1957 and a 1948 khorn one of 26 made in the first year at the factory. the woofer is a JENSEN auditorium P15LL which in the klipsch archives sez was known to be in the 1948 khorn. also the markings and klipsch paper badges are totally different..I may have stumbled upon a piece of KLIPSCH HISTORY ! have steve at klipsch calling me to find more info.. ILL keep info flowing. Im so xcited I cant stand it . This could explain the differences in the wood thickness on the top unit of the cabinent
  4. I only have the one wooden horn. it also has the stevens woofer and orginal tweets and xovers the other is all pieced together c my other reply
  5. The one that is orginal has a stevens woofer .. it is all orginal ibought them for 250 tonite because the other has a university horn no tweeter and a great find as a woofer a jensen auditorium 15" $$$$ yea me. im going to sell all of the components in both speakers and rebuild them to todays specs talked to bob crites at length today id rather have the sound than the nostalgia... im running lascallas cornwalls herseys with mac tube amps and alot of goodies alwaz wanted khorns though. I mite be CRAZY for stripping them well one for sure
  6. Cats love antifreeze! Just a soft rag and some water will do the trick. Also a little cayanne pepper around near will keep all animals away!
  7. I have a chance to purchase some 57 khorns. One is all orginal with wooden horn with university driver. The other has been rebuilt non the top part with 1/2" plywood instead of 3/4"plywwod making it about two inches shorter plus has some generic horn and no crossover it has huge capicator. Was wondering if I could take the good wooden horn and driver out and sell it and replace with upgraded horns and driver and some B.C.crossovers? Is there even a market for the old horn? all info will be greatly helpfull. the cabinets are pretty rough but I have acess to a wood mill with all the toys so that will be simple..Just want this to be cost effective and not dump 3k into the project!!!!! THANX
