  1. And where did you get that coffee table? I'm in the market for a new one.
  2. I purchased mine from another Klipsch Community Forum member here. My advice is to keep checking the boards (Klipsch, Audiogon, Videogon, and AVSForum)
  3. Did you create some custom speaker cables. It seems you were getting ready to do so on the previous page. Just Monoprice 12 AWG wires and GLS plugs for now and Bluejeans LC-1 for interconnects and sub. Techflex, cable pants, and heat shrink are on my todo list.
  4. they are difficult to find new since it's a discontinued model. you're best bet is audiogon or videogon. onecall.com has 1 in stock in black. you'd just have two find speaker number two elsewhere the website says $795 but if you call they will go down to atleast $600 just to get rid of it. http://www.onecall.com/product/Klipsch/RF-63-Black-Each-Open-Box/Speaker/_/R-104105
  5. Looks like we got hit by a spam bot Anyhow. Finally recieved my new components to complete the setup. Denon & Emotiva Amp/Sub: Just need to tune it and get everything dialed in.
  6. I picked up the plugs from speakerrepair.com. Bought a 20 pack for $40 https://www.speakerrepair.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=AHH_Banana Just posted more details on websites I'm buying everything from in another thread: http://community.klipsch.com/forums/thread/1531617.aspx
  7. I went with the following Speaker cable 12AWG - monoprice.com GLS Bananas - speakerrepair.com Sub and amp interconnects - bluejeanscable.com Dress them up with some techflex, and heatshrink - stores.ebay.com/furryletters or www.av-outlet.com And some cable pants - parts-express.com Here's some good DIY threads: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=776636 http://forum.blu-ray.com/home-theater-construction/57127-speaker-cable-sleeving-diy.html
  8. are you concerned about the weight of the XPA-3 + whatever else you may have on that glass shelf (if its glass)? I currently have the Z-line Jaguar 3-in-1 stand that I got for $180 from Target and its been doing great. I really like Z-Line. But I have a hard time finding another 3-in-1 stand that is a little wider, and that can support more weight on each shelf without having to shell out $300+ or a DIY stand. Good question. The top shelf (where the center is) supports 120lbs. Middle and bottom support 65lbs each. The Emotiva at a whopping 57lbs will definitely be going on the bottom shelf with the cable box and media PC. That will be about 71lbs which I feel comfortable with. The middle shelf will have the Denon receiver and PS3 which will be 40lbs. I mapped out dimensions and weight before I went shopping and this was the only TV stand I could find that would fit everything. It will be snug but it should work out.
  9. It's the Z-Line Shelby 3-in-1 stand. I picked it up at Sears for $350 + tax. It's awesome and holds my 52' just fine. I was a little concerned about the size and weight distribution with my 52' but it's rock solid. Also look what came in the mail today: Monoprice 12AWG and some GLS plugs. Going to dress these up with some Techflex, cable pants and heat shrink (thanks for the idea Nezff).
  10. Yes that would be nice. My budget is exhausted for now so I'm stopping! This is a very dangerous hobby. Oh and the table is my old Ikea entertainment stand which I just replaced with the pictured Z-Line TV stand. It will be going up on Craigslist shortly.
  11. Yep, new Ultra Sub 12 and XPA-3 are on the way from Emotiva. Should be here next week.
  12. Piecing together my system but here are some shots of what I have so far: Grills On: Grills Off: Surrounds: Shot from the back: Still waiting on my reciever, amp, sub and speaker wires so I can hook everything up. Everything should be in next week. I'm getting pretty excited!
  13. Thanks for confirming. Now to get these puppies mounted!
  14. I ordered some RS-42's online through Amazon but they sent me RS-42 II's instead. Should I be concerned about matching these up with my RF-63s and RC-64? I'm under the impression that timbre matching your surrounds is not as important as the fronts and center. Thoughts are appreciated. Thanks
  15. I'm guessing I wouldnt want to ceiling mount the RS-42s. Do you have a speaker recommendation if I went that route?
  16. Hello Klipsch-o-philes. I'm in the early stages of planning my first HT (5.1 for now) setup and am looking for input on some newbie questions. Having fallen in love with a friends Reference Series speakers I'm looking go to with the following for my roughly 12x28 space: 2 x RF-82's in front RC-62 Emotiva Sub 12 2 x RS-42s My first big question is where I'm going to mount my surrounds. My choices are limited given the non-symmetrical layout of my room. I've included a diagram of where they might go but as you can see I they are not in an optimal position. I'm also worried that placing the left surround next to the column in the diagram will be a problem. How much should I worry about placement? Should I scrap the surrounds and go with RBs in the rear instead or maybe get floor stands or another set of RFs? Here's some photos of the room to give you an idea of what I'm talking about: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sergiovision/sets/72157626375773095/ And here is a diagram:
