Is that the case in both. of them?

    Wet market?

    :

SARS was no 1 ,  it was determined to originate  from the wet market animals and it spread to humans  ,  but , Covid 19 is bi-causal, the Chinese GVNMT says it spread from the wet market and not via contamination  by a lab who tested animals sold at the wet market -

but now we learn , the data from a 2nd lab was wiped clean  , because of cross contamination of the wet market with the samples  from the CDCC which  is a  BSL-2  lab , 280 meters away  --

Apologies, I don’t get emails, need to set notifications for replies. Here are the photos of the rear. An active crossover is certainly in the cards, Probably needed since I’ve changed the dynamics of how the cabinet sounds.

Randyh, you are correct. This is part of the reason I haven’t picked up Altec drivers for these. I needed something low profile, so I don’t have a big lump sticking out of the back. The horn does fit.... without a compression driver attached. 🙃

This isn’t really a build of what I want, more like this is what I have and can I make it work. I would have preferred a K400 but the purchase came with the 511b horns, a mangled pair of  808-8A drivers, a Pyle mid horn and pds152 driver, MCM 55-2953 woofer, and crites CT-125 tweeter. They are far from done.

looks good to me  , it fits -----

Thought you guys might enjoy my latest accident.  I have never attempted anything like this but have help from some knowledgeable people. Drivers will most likely be a B&C DE250 and an MCM 55-2953 (until I find something better, they came with this.)

These guys were pretty mangled cabinets filled with probably the cheapest drivers one could buy and fit in a Cornwall cab. I know people put them on the top, but oh well.

I have a set of (very not stock) K-Horns that I'd like to sell. I have a set of Heresy's that I'm converting to Claude's Super Heresy and think it's time to let their big brothers go to someone who will love them as I have. I'm hoping one of the community members here can help me understand what they are (model type, mod/abomination) and what I can do to make a proper sale. Big thanks to anyone who can help me sort this out.

    Pictures: Album here

The cabinets aren't labelled, no sticker, and don't have binding posts built in. Does this mean they're speakerlab or maybe a custom build or is it possible that they're original k-horns? This is the most important question I have because I don't want to misrepresent something that I'm trying to sell.

    The crossovers are type AA

The tweeters are the k-77, unmounted.

The mids: Altec 511b horn, 808-8a driver

Woofers: mismatched Electrovoice EV15, I replaced the other with a Crites 1526c

The midhorn and drivers were replaced with an Altec Voice of the Theater combo 808-8a driver and 511b horn.

    Is this common?

I have an extra set of k-55 mid drivers that I made some adapters for to fit on the horn. Should I probably sell with those on it instead?

The grill cloth is worn out. Should I redo it before selling?

    Am I overthinking this?

Last question: if I want them to sell in the next few months, how much should I try to get for them? I'm willing to deliver if that makes a difference.

That is why I believe blood types (type O in particular that has reduced clotting factors) and other factors count.  Hydroxychloroquine reduces clotting.  So reducing the viral load and reduced clotting.   Many with Type O are not getting the bad symptoms.

I really think they are missing the boat on 50% of these thinking one thing and it is really blood clotting in the lungs

you had already mentionned blood clotting on May 6 , I understood it then , but  your analysis  is now confirmed by the Brits ---you are 100% right ------reduce clotting , and the chances of survival increase --------

The Father of 1 of my friends died today , he was in hospital with Covid 19----and he was treated , then he got over it , he was released , went home , everything is fine , and 2 days later , he came down very hard with it , all of a sudden , back to the hospital , and he didn't make it - it hit him like a freight train -

Seems like it was never out of his system and likely blood clots from the sound of it.

The Valencia uses and 811 horn, which is an 800 Hz. horn. The 511 is a 500 Hz. horn. I used to own 4 of those in the 70's. You may want to consider and Altec 902 driver, which is designed for that horn..................if it will fit.

the Altec 511B is 18,5 inches long at the adapter plate ,  The CW1 is 15,5 inches  deep , the  511B horn-500hz   is extending out of the cab in the rear  , and the cabinet 's internal volume is also lower -  a K400 at 400hz would have taken up less  volume  as well as being a better horn
