  1. Really?? Mine all small and I prefer to let my sub handle the bass LOL!!
  2. I call this the "Happy Meal Syndrome". Quantity over quality. So you are saying NOT to have any headroom??? You say quanity over quality?? That is plain silly because I see a LOT of quality in his set-up! So I guess my set-up is the same...well I dont like Mcdonalds. Another point is this.... it is HIS system and he is very proud of what he has and he should be, is there a real reason to knock his system?
  3. I would use all klipsch with that set-up mybe Rb-51II for front heights. The 9.1 or 2 set up I have has not S.back (I believe they are a waste). Wides & heights much better!
  4. That is certainly a nice HT sytem! I say next you save up and get a great AVR...not saying yours isn't by any means but I would get a AVR with heights & wides (Audyssey dsx) a Denon 3311Ci has A-DSX but it can only play one or the other Heights or wides....get the Denon AVR-4311Ci and you have them both at the same time and that will blow your mind, did for me LOL!! It also has 9 pre-outs.
  5. I 100% agree with that, I dont care for bipoles at all...just my opinion though...everyone has different ears. I prefer direct fire RB
  6. Jason, How about trying heights maybe RB-51II or even RB-61II instead of the rears? I would say add wides but you would need another pair of RF-7II (Ideally) and spaced pretty far apart and dont know if your room is wide enough for that.
  7. This is the most important thing...sounds good to you then a job well done!
  8. This is VERY good info! MY system it sets the trim a bit to low...I go up about 2Db on the sub and I like a lot of vocals on my center so I go up 1.5 on that. So basically you atre saying it set the speakers lower than it should have? I have heard that most SPL meters are not as accurate as Audyssey's mic, not sying yours isnt...just putting it out there. This is good info regardless!
  9. Per 'Audysse, Wides Before Heights' Ref: http://www.audyssey.com/audio-technology/audyssey-dsx The RB-61II will be better IMHO...easier to hang put on a shelf, wont take up as much room and you can angle the 61II's easier...I had Rb-81II and went to RB-61II.
  10. Nice...Like you said, those RF-82 IIs (wides) almost look like RF-7 IIs in the pic...lol! The lens truly makes them "wides" LOL!!!
  11. I have front heights and wides...wides have a much more uimpact than heights but without the heights it is missing something....have them both together is just amazing!! Note: The fronts and wides are Rf-82II not Rf-7II...the pic makes the wides seem bigger than the fronts LOL!! Here is mine 9.1 (Surrounds not pictured)
  12. That is a good sized room......mine is 25' X 25'. Tthe most important thing is the first measurment in the "Sweet spot" wich it gets the distance measurments ect. Also when measuring you dont want to go to far outside of the speakers path or you would get a innacurate measurement. I bet the sysyem is going to sound great!
  13. "War of the worlds" will take your breath away! It has everything in it....LFE, found effects ect....
  14. Well I just order 5 more!! these thing make a difference, I wsa bit skeptical but sound doesnt lie....lot of detailed gained! I am going to use these on my RC-64II one on each end or maybe (3)...you can ange the speaker down or up with these. Pretty inexpensive upgrade if you ask me.
  15. It set your center at -1.5Db....your center must be far away from MLP?? It set my center at -8.0 and i am about 12 ft away...I bumped it up to about -6.5.
  16. That may be a tough one! What color did you end up getting? Cherry our black? I got cherry I wanted to mix it up a little (plus I think those are the ones on sale) I’m looking at these stands 36” http://www.standsandmounts.com/vtirfseriescastiron36inchspeakerstandsrf36.aspx Those stands are real nice! What are the dimensions on the top? If they are big enough you could put some speaker-dudes isolation platforms on the stands possibly. I just ordered a pair if the speaker-dudes....got them for $40.00.Here they are: (perfect fit for the RB-61II) http://www.auralex.com/sound_isolation_speakerdudes/speakerdudes.asp

  18. I would they are awesome! I like them a lot..."acoustic sound design" had then on sale for $399.00. I am getting 2-3 pair. He is also a official klipsch dealer so you get the warranty. Free shipping? Just ordered a pair!!! Now I have to find some stands at least 40 high awesome! Keep in mind prices on klipsch are going up 10% in a few days.

  20. I had the RS-52 and did care for them at all...I like direct firing MUCH better! Rob you have a really big room so direct firing speakers probably helps everything to cut though. Im not saying ones better just pointing that out. In a small room like Jason has not having all his speakers facing right at his head might have a result closer to what hes looking for (or maybe not). Plus the RS line design is 100% surround duty and gives an open space sound that can make a room sound bigger than it is. Example an effect coming from a direct firing speaker in a small room will sound like its coming right from the speaker. The RS line doesnt give up its position very easily its kind of behind, side, and in front of you. In a large room like yours that open space sound probably didnt cut though as well. Would have probably needed the rs-62 in a room that size. Maybe that is it, I did try the RS-62ii and our felt very shallow and almost less detailed....I love the RB-61ii though, personally my favorite bookshelf. I use these as highs and surrounds and it made a drastic difference over the RB-52ii.

  22. Thanks, I really love it....I may be upgrading the wides/fronts to RF-7II...havent decided yet!
