  1. For 50 USD bucks more, i think i will buy this one: Denon AVR-1712 http://usa.denon.com/US/Product/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?PCatId=AVSolutions%28DenonNA%29&CatId=AVReceivers%28DenonNA%29&Pid=AVR1712%28DenonNA%29 Now i think i can handle 100% of the RB-42 HT.
  2. Thanks for your answer themrclean, so this onkyo really do not abound in power? Because RB-41 HT needs about 50W RMS @ 8 ohms per speaker. And this amps gives 80W @ 8 ohms per channel. (I tough it was "maybe" a bad choice because maybe the extra 30W Watts (80W) are bad for 50W speakers, but wasn't thinking its still not enough). About your Onkyo, i really considered your offer, but i have 2 problems..One is that i need HDMI 1.4 because i will use it with a 3DTV 1.4 Hdmi. And the other problem is that i don't live in USA, my parents will go to miami in October. So they will buy the amplifier there..maybe at "bestbuy" or something like that...
  3. Hello, i want to buy a 5.1 home theater. I was thinking in buy the RB-41 II Home Theater System.( I'm not an experienced person in Hi-fi or Home Theater Audio). So the 1st question is: Is this Onkyo Receiver good enough for RB-41 5.1 system or im just chosing a bad receiver? - RB-41 II (Front Left and Front Right) - RC-42 II (Center) - SW-308 (Subwoofer) (Maybe i will change it for a cheaper Klipsch's Subwoofer). - RS-41 II (Surround, i have my doubts about the location in the 2nd questions) OR RB-41 II (Surround) http://www.us.onkyo.com/model.cfm?m=TX-NR509&class=Receiver&p=f The 2nd questions are about the surround speakers. RS-41 II are good for 5.1 HT? Or they just for a 7.1 HT? In case they are for 5.1...what's better for 5.1...a pair of "RS-41 II" or a pair of another "RB-41 II"? In case that RS-41 II is the best pick, could you give me some advice about their location? Since they are like "180º" speakers i don't know how to locate them. I saw a lot of RS-41 speakers just to the sidel...but in 7.1 systems, not in 5.1 systems. I accept any suggestions, sorry about my English, isn't very well. I will use the HT for Bluray playback, TV, Games, Music, etc. Thanks and regards, Sebastian.
  4. haha, I like some songs from Sonata Arctica. I understood perfectly the estimated 35W calculation of my amp. In that case, if i use for instance a 5W (2x5W) potency most of the time. The 3 will sound just as good, or the RB-41 will perform better in 5W? In addition, there will be a balance between high and low?
  5. As i saw yesterday. The subwoofer feeds from 2 places. - The center/subwoofer channel (Which is not working while playing music mp3, etc..because ( i think ) music is just a 2.0 source). This channel only works in movies, games, etc. - The Front 2.0 input. Because If i reduce the front left and front right volume levels, subwoofer stop working too. But if i manually disconnect the front speakers, subwoofer is still working with the incoming 2.0 front signal. ------ BTW..if i can use well my amplifier with RB-51...i think i will buy this model and pick the B alternative. I also know a person selling RB-61 II (used) with a similar price to the RB-51 II (new) (12% cheaper). But i think Now...this is really too much for my amp...
  6. Thanks for your answer, Well my idea, it's to change my currently 5.1 multimedia speakers. (Edifier R501). In other words, i currently have, this subwoofer (from the Edifier R501 system)...You think it's a bad subwoofer for RB-41? This is valid only for RB-41, or i can use it for RB-51 too? ---------------- So the possibilities are: A) Buy RB-41, connect 2.0 to the amplifier, connect my 5.1 (just the 2.0 channel of it) multimedia system to the amplifier "analog AUX output", disconnect the 5.1 Front Speakers and use "Stereo" input just for the subwoofer. Completing a 2.1 (2.0 = RB-41 & 0.1 = Edifier subwoofer). Buy RB-51 and only use this. But i wanna know if my amp can handle it.
  7. i Was thinking of going for the next model RB-51. Some people told me that 4'' cone woofer is not good for 2.0 Stereo config. It's 5.25'' cone woofer good for 2.0 ?
  8. Thanks for your answer! - About the small room, i agree, but i prefer this ones because of their ( i think ) good fidelity. I probably, also, will send this speakers to a home teather in the living room in a nearly future. - About the PC Sound quality, well currently i have an X-Fi Creative XtremeMusic sound card, 320kbps mp3 and/or FLAC music, this also, is not a good source of quality? About my currently config, i have the X-Fi XtremeMusic + Edifier r501 5.1 home teather system. I want to change to a 2.0 setup, because i'm not using 5.1 stuff, except when playing some games, but i prefer better 2.0 quality sound, than a 5.1.My currently speakers sound good, but i want more quality. I don't prefer 2.1 since most of my music is just 2.0 These Klipsch speakers with my Technics amplifier, using the amplifier at no more than 60% volume (assuming that 60% is a lot of volume), will sound as good as a config with a modern/good amplifier? Also, this Klipsch model is a good choicer for 2.0 in hi-fi music? or it's just standard quality?
  9. Hi all, I was looking for 2.0 speakers and I found these one's (RB-41 II) (If i chose the incorrect speakers, please let me know). They will be for a small room (for my PC). On the second hand, actually i have an old "Technics" amplifier with the following specs: Am i able to properly use this amplifier with RB-41 II speakers? In case yes, which are the disadvantages i will suffer for using this amplifier? (I'm a totally newbie with all this). Please, take in account that, I give priority to fidelity/quality than the max/capacity volume of the speakers! Best Regards, Sebastian.
  10. Great info! So i think they are originales then.!
  11. Well i finally went for the blue box at this shop (cost = 90$ dollars, a very good price for my Country). I think it's original except from 1 thing *. - Pouch seems to be original, it's not the fake pouch with the larger klipsch "chevron". - Logo isn't fading, it's well printed and it's not fading after passing my finger, etc. - The shop (audioconcept) said he was a client of "profesionalaudio", the only official Klipsch store in Argentina (ProfessionalAudio, acts mostly as a provider to shops like this one, it's not a shop for the retail market <mainly>). The store also have a lot of Klipsch legitimate and amazing stuff, huge passive speakers of about 1.5metters, etc. - * cleaning tool is not included, i read on this forums that is not provided anymore even in the "original image S4 headphones". Is that true. I read i.e. that people who bought in Best Buy ultimately didn't receive the "Cleaning Tool" also. This is why i have my doubts about the truth of my headphones. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Changing the topic, regarding the listening quality (i never used IN-EAR before), i see that the "Sport Fit" in the manual (i mean passing the cable behind my ears) is very good to walk in order to don't listen cable movements inside your head). I think i'm gonna use "Sport Fit" always, inside the subway, etc. About the volume, i'm using my Nokia (5310) phone at about 20% volume. I have no idea about how to check current dB but passing 60% is a lot of volume for me.
  12. thanks for your answer i saw...all the pages with box_image and 69-79$ listing price showing the "old" box model. So i tough the blue was older. but maybe is just they didn't updated the box image. Btw..i maybe i will try buy headphones here..but i saw all with "blue boxes". Do you know a way to identify a "fake" model with a "Blue box"? Cos in grey box you could for example see the pouch quality from outside.
  13. Hi, i was looking for a "Klipsch Image S4" headphone at Newegg in order to import it to my country (Argentina), because i doubt if the ones that are sold in my country are original or fake versions. But i was wondering what means the color of the BOX. In the Klipsch web page i saw a "Blue Box" and in Newegg i see a "Grey Box". Both boxes are legitimate? Sorry for being a traumatized person, but i bought fake headphones before (i was deceived) (from other headphones brands) so i wanted to be sure that i'm buying the right ones. Because a redeem is almost not possible for me. Thanks and Best Regards, Sebastian.
