  1. Thanks Bill! The Emotiva is local pick-up only...so I'm out on that. I will do some more research/study on the Marantz. Wayne
  2. I checked out Emotiva XPA-3 and it seems like something that would work for me since I'm only interested in driving the LCR. Not many people are letting them go lol
  3. Yeah I figured that the Onkyo should power the RS-52 with no problem. It was Willand on here first suggested using an external amp to power up the speakers. Maybe I can power up both RF-83 and RC-64 together and have my RW-12 go along with everything else. My neighbors will probably hate me. I live in Grand Rapids MI about 3 hours away from chicago/detroit. As far as I know ChipByrd lives 30 min away from me. I don't know him though.
  4. Hi guys, I've recently acquired a set of RF-83 and a RC-64. I've heard that some members use another amp to put more power to the speakers. I currently have an Onkyo TX-NR809. Any suggestions are appreciated! Wayne
  5. gotcha, that's what other members were saying. I just edited my FS thread thanks!
  6. How can I tell the difference between RC-64 and RC-64ii? Does the tag on the back differentiate RC-64 vs RC-64ii? I acquired one via a good deal and I was told it's a RC-64II, but the back of the speaker has a Klipsch tag and it only printed RC-64. Can anyone help me verify it?
  7. Just got the RC-64 yesterday and hooked it up. It sounds really good! Now I just need my RF-63....There is a set of RF-82 about 3 hours away. decisions....
  8. I know that one has dual 6.5" woofers and the other one has dual 5.25" woofers. Are they really that much different? I have a mint, barely used RC-35 for sale so I just want to know a little more about it and other speakers that are similar to it.
  9. I agree with ^^. If stands are not out of the question...One of the members here sells some really good ones for 40 shipped. I use it for my S1s. Or DIY shelf.
  10. Now let's add a RC-64 to the collection...time to sell the RC-35...Wish the RC-64popped up before I bought the 35... I feel like I've been ADHD when buying stuff. This is now on my list. RF-63 RC-64(already have) RS-52 (Already have) RW-10d or 12d Would RB-81 work well in this? I could possibly use it as front speakers or as sides.
  11. Now let's add a mint RC-35 to my possession as well.
  12. for sure. I just bought a pair of mint RS-52. Made an offer on the RF-63s last night. We'll see how that goes. Now need RC-62...or 64?
  13. I'll negotiate for sure. I'm also trying to see different setups ( such as a pair of RB-81 as fronts and a pair of RS-7) Saw them for sale as well. There are endless possibilities. Anyone tried that setup ?
  14. the guy wants 900 for a pair of 'RF-5 and 1 RC-3. good or not?
  15. Thanks guys. I actually just tracked down a set of RF-3 or RF-5 near me, waiting to hear back. I also saw a pair of RB-81 as well. Would it be over kill to use them as surrounds along with RF-3 or RF-5? thanks again.
  16. found a pair of RF-3 for 400 shipped... or should I wait for RF-5...
  17. Poo...the RF-5 fell through. Back to search/waiting.
  18. I'll respond to it tonight when I get home. The RC-7 was made to be paired with these, some have used the RC-64 with RF-7's and have had good results but it's not really ideal. I did a google search for RC-7 and there isn't a whole lot out there. More RC-62/64 (which is still hell expensive or way too far from where Michigan.) Looks like I'll be pairing up my set slowly. Good idea, but I have no room as my TV is on a TV credenza...no room. Plus I have no wood working skills
  19. I PM'd you. What cente/surround would go well with the RF-5? Would RC-64 be overkill?
  20. Thank you guys for the information/advice. I can't wait to get them! There are some deals out there on ebay but nothing really close to me (I'm in Michigan). Hope I can find some that is close enough to me...
  21. I have a set of Synnergy F1/C1/S1 and I'm thinking about upgrading. Saw a set of RF-3 and looking at getting either RC-3 or RC-52. These speakers will be mated with Onkyo TX-NR809. These will be used for movies/music/gaming. What do you guys think? They look really good spec-wise. I'm a complete noob when coming to audio stuff. Still trying to read up info on these. Thanks guys. Wayne
