The static doesn't sound like a normal issue to me. ....But Southbay isn't popping up in my database as an authorized dealer, so you may have bought an improper batch, but my database may very well be out of date, so please call 800-KLIPSCH as soon as you can and maybe we can give you an exchange if they fall under warranty!

You need to complain to Samsung for using proprietary wiring. The lack of any standards across the Android platform make it impossible to guarantee a working remote across all devices.

We had the Galaxy Note here in the office so we were able to test it directly.

The Image S4A has been tested and verified with the Samsung Galaxy Note.

You can just pinch & pull them off carefully. Don't worry, it isn't hard. If they are coming from the factory box, then, no, you do not have to clean them.

We are very surprised that you were able to break your headband. As you can see in the following pictures, we can bend them to extreme degrees and the Modes don't sweat a bit. Also, our headphones do have two-year warranties on them, so you should be able to work with your local dealer to get a replacement.

Personally (and I say this not as a Klipsch employee, but as a consumer), I try to buy one step better than what I can afford when it comes to things like TVs & Speakers whose technology will stand the test of time for several years at least.

The X10 and X10i sound exactly the same. The "i" designates that it has a remote that works specifically with iOS devices. There is no listed for a X10A because we have no made an Android-specific version of the X10....Both the X10 and X10i will work with your Android phone. It will just not have full remote compatibility.

Like Amy, I absolutely love the Image X7i. The balance and accuracy of the headphones is just simply awesome...The new ceramic design also looks and feels quite nice.
