  2. Yes the RS-52s im selling are indeed the Newest version RS-52ii. They have the triangular grill instead of the round grill because i ordered the old grill to fit on it so they would match my RS 62s. i never liked the round grill they came out with. But they are RS-52ii.

  9. o no no no I wasnt bagging on the klipsch subs. Im a klipsch nut all the way heh. I was just saying with my experience (a short listen to the RW12d I wasnt impressed) but the RSW series I liked a lot and id love to listen to their newer subs in the RF7ii line. And to be fair I never liked my RT-12d for some reason. I upgraded to the THX subs after listening to the SVS Ultra 13 dual set up and with 4 KW-120s they are hard to beat. So all in all im a Klipsch sub fan just not the RW-12d or RT-12d. I did go with some KL-650s and KL-525s. I sold my 83s and 64 this week and Im trying to sell myRB81s. My particular room has an angled wall about 2 feet of it that runs the length of the room 23 wide and I dropped my Elite 70 down a few inches to make room. I thought have the 3 KL-650s on the angled ceiling just above the 70 would make for a more theater/cinema like look and sound though I loved my 83s. Im going to mount flush on the wall on the very ends of the 23 wide room the kl-525s as Width speakers. Should look really nice with all THX speakers. Dont know if Ill swap out my RS62 surrounds though Im pretty content with them as surrounds. Not sure if you saw pics of the room the New THX speakers will be placed but Ill post it to see what you think. Still waiting on the 3 KL-650s and 2 KL-525s to come in prob will be another week but in the mean time I have mounted 8 ATS Acoustic panels and 2 ATS bass traps in the rear of the theater not show in the pic so I been busy playing lol.
  10. Yes there is a substantial difference with the two lines. Especially when powered by the right amp the Reference series is astounding for both musical and Home Theater Qualities. I used reference for years and just recently moved to their THX line but I would highly recommend them to anyone. Also I would recommend the reference sub. As big as a Klipsch fan as I am there are also much better subs to look at than Klipsch until you get to their higher end subs IMO. Their older RWS Series and 15 subs were fantastic. If you could find a RSW 10d with a passive radiator rear id nab one of those. Not sure how much they run for but if you step into a well set up Reference theater room or someones home with reference speakers you will laugh at the synergy line
  11. I have a pair of brand new rb 81ii for sale 585 shipped
  12. Well matt you made the right choice in upgrading the L,C,R first (I have recently upgraded as well). I think the surrounds would be the last priority. Im sure they will sound ok though not as dynamic or powerful as the new L,C,R. I would suggest upgrading the sub next. Anytime a home is prewired with wire it usually isnt the best option as the wire is not the best or thickest gauge and a lot of breaking and re connecting wire is not the best for sound quality. Are you able to mount the quintets on the sides of walls or stands rather than on the ceiling? The next thing Id suggest is the Sub a reference sub will be a great way to add some punch to the room. I also started with a synergy sub. Well to be fair it was a KW100 then a Synergy 12 at the time. Since then I have gone a little bonkers over the years and now run 4 THX ultra2 KW120s. Congrats on the new Reference speakers. As Obi Wan Kenobi would say. youve taken your first step into a larger world
  13. What kind of mounts do I use for the KL-650s? they have 4 Omni mount holes does anyone know what mount I need and where to get these? Thanks
  14. P.M. Me if you want to purchase them and I can send you an invoice through paypal. I can ship these as early as Tuesday Morning. Im taking the day off to ship out the RF-83s,etc.
  15. OkaY Guys so I will be ordering Sat My (3) KL-650s for the theater room and I will be mounting them on the wall above the Elite Pro 70. My question is without looking at them they have 4 Omni Mount holes on the back per speaker. Any advice on what to buy for these to mount them. They are rated at 40lbs. They have omni mount brackets for 30lbs with 2 holes im assuming Ill need 2 per speaker correct? Thanks in advance.
  16. Meh I dont know about congrats. I will miss them. They were great speakers but for a cinema room I think the KL-650s will better suit the movie room especially with being mounted/suspended on the same angled plane just above the screen its going to sound and look more cinema like and professional. Gotta have the room painted a dark charcoal color to blend with my now 7 acoustic panels and 2 bass traps. I will photograph the room when it is all complete. I will be in the market for 2 Mains/towers for music downstairs not sure what to go with maybe 2 LaScallas but right now not in the budget between 3 KL-650s the New Anthem amp, 4 KW 120s 2 KA-1000s and a new Monster HTS7000 UPS the wife would kill me if I bought 2 LaScallas but they are the next step maybe during the summer. Any suggestions on some great Musical Mains for the living room downstairs?
  17. Thanks Youthman. I sold the RF-83s for 1100 and the RC-64 for 700. I opted to buy 3 KL-650s which Im mounting on the angled ceiling above the Elite TV and above where the RB-81s where if you can picture it. Will be very theater like having the 3 Channels mounted evenly above the display. I dropped the TV down about 4 inches and im going to be hunting a pair of Towers that Ill use separately from this system for music. Will keep this theater room for movies only since the 650s arent the most musical speakers.
  18. Unless I mounted 3 KL650;s on that angled piece of wall above the TV? Would anyone suggest doing this perhaps? I could then mount the center above the TV the Left and right on the same plane above the tv just above where the RB81s sit. I could do that but not sure how that would sound. I have access behind all the walls in this room thankful. Anyone think this would be a good idea? Please look at the pics I posted to get an idea of where the LCR would be placed if I were to mount them on the front wall. Wow this has me thinking now. I would get rid of the RB 81s altogether if I were to go this route. And put 2 additional ATS panels in their place.
