  1. The sound of the Mode M40 is not as "crisp" as the Image ONE, but it's ANC feature more than makes up for it. Plus, it;s surprising how much bass & treble the M40 can handle by adjusting the equaliser. A slight bass and treble boost, along with a slight reduction in the mids and the headphones sound great. As for the X10, I would love to get a pair, but cannot yet justify buying it whilst my S4i is still working perfectly. And my headphones last YEARS - My pair of Sony headphones lasted 9 1/2 years and my Sennheiser HD595 (home/PC use) is going on 5-years and counting.
  2. Hi, I'm sure they have fixed the problem, and I do love Klipsch products. However, as my second pair of headphones have failed with the same problem, Amazon (UK) are no longer prepared to send me another replacement, as they have to investigate the failures to protect both myself and other consumers from the problems I have experienced. I still have the Image ONE (for working out) and Image S4i (formal occasions), but I am once again without headphones for traveling to work. If I purchase the same headphones again from Amazon, who says that they'll be the ones that are fixed? Is there a way to tell? Whilst I do love Klipsch, this is starting to become a little frustrating... cause_of_chaos
  3. Hi, I have 3 Klipsch phones - Mode M40, Image ONE and Image S4i. I feel that the M40 needs "equalised" to get the maximum from these headphones. After a little burn-in and equalising, these headphones are my favourite of the three. I still use the S4i when dressing formally and Image ONE when working out / training, but I love the M40 for traveling to/from work and relaxing. I have a Droid RAZR, and use the "Incredible Treble" preset equaliser to get the max from these phones - I'd highly recommended that or a reduction of the mids and see what you think. The M40s are the best ANC headphones I've tried... cause_of_chaos
  4. Hi all, My second pair has failed with the exact same features. I travel to work using trains, so maybe the vibration is too much for the headphones or something... I have claimed warranty (again). Hopefully I get one of the headphones with this "running change"... cause_of_chaos
  5. Hi! I have both and they are entirely different headphones. I love the bass from the Image One, but for rock / metal, the M40s are better - warmer sounding and the higher frequencies are beautiful. The M40 have less bass, though it's more than neutral headphones. Oh, and the active noise-cancelling is very effective. I alternate them, but always use the M40s when traveling by train. Hope this helps!
  6. Hi all, My M40 unit has displayed the exact same symptoms after just 5-weeks of owning it. The headphones have never been dropped, and only good batteries were used. I have e-mailed Klipsch UK regarding the issue; hopefully it can be sorted soon as I do love these headphones... cause_of_chaos
