  1. For Christmas this year I just got the Pioneer SE-DIR800C dolby digital wireless headphones. They use infrared technology so you have to be in front of the transmitter that is hooked up to your home theater system. If you are watching the tv or a movie why would you be walking around. They have optical coax in for Dolby Digital and DTS. You can select the sound field from small, medium or large. I like running them on medium. The reverb in the medium soundfield sounds more real. I heavily tested them with Transformers dark of the moon. The bass is strong, and after about a minute I forgot I was listening to a 5.1 movie through headphones. They decode Dolby Digital and DTS. The batteries are AA rechargeable batteries and they charge on the transmitter base. If you don't want to wait for the batteries to charge you can throw in a pair of regular AA batteries. I am truly impressed that I can enjoy a movie in true dolby digital without disturbing others. For Bluray movies I change the Bluray player to decode dolby digital and send that instead of uncompressed bitstream. I only use uncompressed bitstream when I want to disturm everyone in the area with DTS-HD or Dolby TrueHD which those headphones can not decode. I have the optical cable plugged into one of the optical outs on the back of my receiver. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Home/Headphones/Headband/SE-DIR800C
  2. I use an antennacraft FMSS omnidirectional FM antenna. My radio is in the basement and got 1 station before I added this antenna. Now I am decoding HD radio stations from 40 to 60 miles away and listening to analog FM stations from further away. I put my antenna about 40 feet up my antenna mast. I seperated it so my VHF/UHF transmitting antennas and my UHF repeater antennas don't interfere with it
  3. I notice that mine helps. The lines on the tv are sharper and I noticed a deeper soundstage then when I have it plugged into an outlet. You can't get a low quality piece of equipment and expect it to work. I have moved away from coils in my Power line conditioners. I don't buy panamax equipment. They may look nice but besides the sleek voltage ratings and their lit up faces they do nothing. There is a company that specializes in high end Power line filtering called Cheng Lightspeed. They specialize in delivering non coil equipment. I have their X series H1 with hyper drive. It gives you 12 outlets which 4 are digital outlets which provide level 1 filtration for your HD devices. It was kind of pricey hovering around 2000 but when you factor in that it doesn't have coils that can rob power that amps need and the benefit of isolated line conditioning it was worth it. http://www.changlightspeed.com/
