  1. The way it was packed I really don't think this kind of damage accured during shipping the box would of showed damage. It was packed very well. Double boxed and double bubble wrapped with foam acorns every where. I really think the seller may have dropped it while he was packing it but this is just a hunch. Also what about the static above 5 ?? In his listing he said he listened to it for 3 hours without any problem. I guess this could of been caused by whoever dropped it. What do you think about the static ?
  2. Well received my Scott 222c today and it looks like I have mdeneen luck. First of either the seller dropped it while packaging it or UPS dropped the box. Although the box really doesn't show any major damage that would make me believe they dropped it. So the brushed copper face plate is bent on one end pretty bad. Also to make matters worse although it works if you turn it up anymore than 5 on the volume control it send massive static to the speakers and does this using the Phone inputs with a TT or the Extra inputs with a CD player. I believe it is outputing static below 5 just not as bad. When turning it over 5 the volume doesn't seem to rise the sound just gets over taken by static but not louder. What a bummer . I have emailed the seller to see what his response will be. All I know is I'm not paying 244.00 shipped for this POS.
  3. Well I hope my HH Scott is one of those juicy ones LOL !!!! Did anyone notice what the Fisher has gotten up too so far ? Its already at 255.00 and has 2 1/2 day's to go. Anyone notice the sets of Heresy's for sale there's a couple nice sets up for grabs. There also I nice set of La scala's for someone in sacramento the guy doesn't want to ship them there at 500.00 and have been for day's. T bad i'm 2500 miles from there.
  4. Justin I believe you need to use RGB to get progressive scan to work.
  5. I have a 5 year old 32" sony also and agree that anything over a 43" seems to loose alot of Picture quality. I've been doing the same thing as you. Just can't seem to decide what to get. My HT roon is only 12' X 12' so I believe that a 43" wide screen is all I need. I think that HDTV ready at the very least is a must myself. I wouldn't bother even looking at anything else myself. Well good luck and let us know what you end up with and how it looks in your HT room. I believe most of the sets on display at stores have been messed with by customers to much to know how they really are going to look once you have one.

  11. Well I think I'm going to grab that 222c and give it a whirl. Like Allan said I could alway's resell it if it doesn't turn me on. I just have to try the tube route and see what you guy's are all talking about. My dad has been a Ham Operator and restorer for years and he agrees with you all that tubes are way better for sound. I will have to see for myself. Thanks for your help guy's. Oh and Mobile I will still be looking for a EICO like yours so if you see one drop me a line .
  12. I don't really care for using it. It would I think make it worth more if I had it is all. So you think 225.00 is a good deal ?
  13. One more thing shouldn't that 222c have a cover for it ?
  14. Allan Songer You say there a great phono amps. What about using them for CDs and other souces are they still good ?? Do they incorparate a phone stage in the AMP ? I would guess yes.
