I hope I dont sound like a complete dolt here but exactly what is the advantage of a low power tube amp vs. solid state stuff. I mean I have read some of us in these forums gush about the sound quality, but can anyone describe specifically what the difference sounds like? Boy that sounds dumb now that I read it. Doesnt it seem as though the boys from Klipsch could fire up the production line to satisfy this demand for the Academy? Maybe not even offer it at the retail outlets but just on line or something. Or maybe produce a new product that is specifically targeted at Heritage owners. I dont know, it just seems like an awful lot of buzz when one of these goes on eBay. Dan

After getting advice from some of you guys, and not even hooking up the KSC-C1 I mistakenly purchased, I think I have a deal for an Academy in the works. I will let you know how it sounds when I get it all assembled. Dan

ok I guess what I am asking is how bad would it sound if I added Heresy II's to my original Heresys as rears?

I have had Heresys for 20 years and I love them. What is the consensus out there regarding comparison of Heresys vs. Heresy II? All I know is that the horns are front mounted on the II's and you dont want to mix Heresys with II's in an HT system. It seems like there are more II's for sale on eBay. Any comments?

I just hooked up my new KSW-12 last night while reading the manual. Why is the KSW-15 the only Klipsch sub with LFE input? Will those effects from the DVDs go through the sub-out on my Harmon Karden 500? I'm still so green when it comes to HT. Thanks Dan

Ok any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I have Heresys that were a graduation gift in 1981. I love them and now I am building a HT system around them. I wish I came to this BB before starting. Anyway, I have a KSW 12 on the way and KSSC 1 center on the way as well. First of all, is that center a big mistake? Secondly, are SS-1's a mistake for surrounds? I am following a couple of pairs of Heresys on ebay for possible surrounds but I am a little concerned about their size in the back/middle of the room. If people here tell me I am nuts for even considering the SS-1's then I will probably be patient for the right pair of used Heresys on ebay. Maybe I will even resell the center and upgrade that as well. Any comments?
